reaction is part of reaction-platform, and is used in combination with reaction-next-starterkit. reaction provides the e-commerce API and the back-office, and reaction-next-starterkit exposes the customer UI. After setting up and running reaction-platform, you'll have reaction on port 3000 (the admin UI you're currently getting), and reaction-next-starterkit on port 4000 (the storefront).
@kcynia85 What is the git error you're getting when cloning reaction-platform?
kcynia85
@kcynia85

What error are you getting @kcynia85?
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:21
Error:
The authenticity of host 'github.com (192.30.253.113)' can't be established.

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:22
Well, answer yes of course
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:24
Yeah :) And when I am choosing yes it doesn't happen.
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:25
What do you mean? Does the shell just hang? Does git terminate there?
I will just record :) brb
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:26
Have you tried typing yes instead of y?
It told you twice to type 'yes' or 'no', but it seems you kept on trying with y.
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:29
nope
:D
I was typing 'y' :D lol
Now I have sth like that: xcrun: error: invalid active developer path (/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools), missing xcrun at: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/u
sr/bin/xcrun
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:34
Well, there you go.
As for your xcrun issue, have you installed the XCode developer tools?
Run xcode-select --install. This doesn't install XCode, just a bunch of tools that you'll need.
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:35
Nope I use VS Do I have to install Xcode developer tools ?
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:37
These are CLI tools that are usually shipped with XCode. This command installs them separately. It's around 130Mb and includes gcc among other things.
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:37
Okay :)
Done :D
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:38
Is reaction-platform launching now?
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:40
Do I have to start at the begining ? I dind't turn on Docker and I received some error
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:42
Well, start Docker of course. And then do a make start.
:D Progress

@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:45
Good. Everything on track. You should be up and running in about 10-15 minutes.
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:48
And after ? :) I am going to create custom layout. And how to connect MongoDB to the project ? IS there any input on Dashboard ?
Of course thanks for your help :D
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:52
Connect to MongoDB localhost:27017. And what do you mean by "input on dashboard"?
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:52
An inpute where I will able to paste some path for MongoDB authentication or sth I don't know
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:52
Ah, got it. That's an environment variable that you can set in reaction/.env.
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:53
directly in code ?
I am sorry for many questions :D I am completely green and I have never used Meteor environment before.
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:56
It's an environment variable, so you can use the .env file in development, or you can set it however you want depending on what you're running Reaction on. Do you want to use a custom MongoDB URI in development?
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 10:58
Nope in production
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 10:59
Where do you want to deploy in production?
ECS? Portainer? Something else?
Basically you'll set it as an env variable through Docker, so it'll depend on what environment you use.
kcynia85
@kcynia85
Mar 31 11:04
I thought about netlify
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Mar 31 11:04
Well I've never used it, but isn't it just for static sites?
In which case I doubt you can. But once again I have no experience with it.

Looks like a Docker issue more than a Reaction one. I'd suggest doing a bit of digging up on Google, but I can't help with this. Sorry!

Mar 31 11:12

I want to shout "beetlejuice" three times. :D
@loan-laux :) I have found sth where you posted to similar issue.
Can I have a favor? Will you check that video above :)

@loan-laux
Mar 31 12:02
What's up?
@kcynia85, what's your issue?
Ah, okay, I see. The same error as before. Well as I said, I can't help you with that as it's really a Docker issue and it can be due to a lot of factors. Maybe try the Docker Gitter channel or their forums?
kcynia85

@JoniBR The operator docs aren't up to date for the Release Candidate yet. They were written for the latest stable version. However, in the RC 11, you'll find all of the features mentioned in the docs at localhost:3000/operator. The same features are there, but simply organized better and not in a WYSIWYG fashion anymore.

Apparently, localization of the shop frontend has not been implemented in v2. Are there any plans to do so? In fact, a clear roadmap for frontend features would be helpful to decide whether it’s worth implementing a custom frontend based on the starter kit and component library, an own solution or even stay with v1.x.
