Does anyone know if reaction supports bulk discount pricing. Eg: the more qty, the cheaper the price. I can’t find anything that suggests it does.

Hello. Can someone help me with mail system. The problem is, that is that it is working locally, but not in DigitalOcean node. I am using google smtp with an application password created separately for this node. But i am still getting ERROR Reaction: Email job failed: Error: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:587
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@jdesai-git Sure thing! Hit us up at contact@outgrow.io and we'll see what we can do.
@bslayton You'll have to make your own discount plugin for that. Wouldn't be too hard by just forking the built-in flat rate one.
@redscare The SMTP settings are stored in the database. Did you set them up again after deploying?
Vladimir Puz
@redscare
yes. they are there
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@redscare It looks like your SMTP host is set to localhost. Can you verify that this is not the case?
Vladimir Puz
@redscare
copy-paste from settings = Host: smtp.gmail.com
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
I would assume these are old jobs that have failed and are being retried. I'd suggest cleaning the job queue from your database.
Vladimir Puz
@redscare
according to logs, it does not try to retry sending them
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Can you check that you don't have an email-related environment variable set?
Vladimir Puz
@redscare
hm.. looks like it is the case
there is an env var, which is different from gmail
will try to redeploy
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Remove it or update it. This environment variable overrides the settings stored in the DB.
Vladimir Puz
@redscare
yes! that fixed the problem! Thank you! You saved my day =)
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
You're welcome @redscare!

How do people deal with rendering images in gmail? Gmail renders via proxy so it won't dynaically load the media fixtures, it needs static image assets from what I understand. Is there a way around this without having to convert the media fixtures into a jpg/png or another static image format?

^ i'm going to lazily upload images to s3 that i need to serve in emails -- this is really annoying, but if anyone knows how else to have a workaround w/ gmail or when serving emails, lmk!

Hello people, I'm trying to deploy Reaction Commerce platform on an AWS server so I can try out your platform. I had success in deploying the app and adding some products through admin interface but I also have some issues which I couldn't handle yet so I decided to reach out to you in hope you may be able to help me. This is the link to where the app is hosted: http://testapp-env.wrcy2ypaiv.eu-west-2.elasticbeanstalk.com:4000/. It looks all ok at first but when I click on a single product (any of them except the example one) I get a 404. However, if I reload the page it will be loaded properly. Also, on the home page if I try to limit/order products (20/60/100 and newest/price) only the example product will be shown on any option that is not default one (20 and newest). If I select other limit of products shown (60/100) and refresh, then all products will be shown properly. But if I try to do the same with ordering (low-to-high/high-to-low) only the example product is shown. I got stuck here so I decided to ask if you are familiar with this type of issue or if you have any idea on what's wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

@loan-laux
@hrc099 It looks like you're using the default localhost setting for the GraphQL endpoint URLs. You should update the EXTERNAL_GRAPHQL_URL and INTERNAL_GRAPHQL_URL environment variables. Also, it looks like you're running the storefront in development mode. To run a clean production set up, you should be using a full-blown production build.
Hrvoje Husnjak
@hrc099
@loan-laux True, I forgot to update these env variables for hydra. Thanks for advice and I'll definitely use the production build
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Not just for Hydra, but also most importantly for the storefront. In general, just make a check of your env variables across all services when deploying. Lots of stuff to adapt in there apart from just the GraphQL endpoints.

How are payments meant to be handled?
Isn't usually payment processed before order creation?
Currently payments are processed during placeOrder graphql mutation.
This works with payments-stripe example because you create payment same time as you build order.
Problem occurs when user needs to supply additional information for payment.
Example (payment with credit card):
If payment requires stronger authentication, which redirects to a different website and user fails this authentication then the order will still be created and cart deleted, which should not be the case.

Hello people i am trying to make a custom plugin in reaction. I have define schema , resolver, query , mutations then I register them in register.js file and again register to outer register.js file as mentioned in tuterial but I can't get my custom API 's doc and schema in graphql bata and I can' t access it from graphql beta . So What may be the problem here ?? Does i need to do something anywhere in another file??

@loan-laux I was checking you tutorial for deploying reaction on Amazon but there is no explanation about how to do the Next.js build for storefront, can you explain me how to do it? I am trying to add next-i18next for translations but I coudln't make it work with server side rendering
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@karaarda For the storefront, the build instructions are the same as for the backend. Same as for building any Docker production image to be frank. docker build -t [tag] and you're set!
As for next-i18next, that's an issue you'll have to bring up with their dev team. I've had the problem with some other dependencies in the past, and it's always a great opportunity to make a PR and contribute to these projects.
Arda Kara
@karaarda
@loan-laux I didn't mean building the docker, but building with next
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@karaarda Aren't you deploying a Docker image, though?

@loan-laux can u tell me how to run 'meteor run ios’ or reaction command to make the iOS build??
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@madhur77 Since the backend/admin is the only part of Reaction that's still running on Meteor, the admin interface would be the only thing that you could export as a mobile app. Also, this feature has never been supported by Reaction and I haven't heard of anyone using it (it's a bit hacky to be honest), so I wouldn't be too hopeful of it working flawlessly. And most importantly, I would really advise against using it as Meteor is being phased out gradually. You'd be much better off building a native app that leverages the GraphQL API.

Hey, I installed reaction commerce on my system and I want to change the homepage. I tried following the documentation but my custom page is not rendering on load; but it shows when I click on logo
When I type localhost:4000 on browser it shows default homepage but when I click on logo it renders my custom page.

hi I want to use new bootstrap theme for storefront can any one suggest good theme

@loan-laux I will probably do that, yet it would be better to serve a proper built instead of using SSR

What is going on with Account? There is a name, firstname and lastname in the graphql schema, I coulnd't find mutation to create an account and an object called Accounts is used everywhere to make changes on accounts, and everything is everywhere
as far as I understand Accounts object comes from meteor/accounts-base but what about the graphql schema, where is it being used?
