@loan-laux True, I forgot to update these env variables for hydra. Thanks for advice and I'll definitely use the production build
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
Not just for Hydra, but also most importantly for the storefront. In general, just make a check of your env variables across all services when deploying. Lots of stuff to adapt in there apart from just the GraphQL endpoints.

How are payments meant to be handled?
Isn't usually payment processed before order creation?
Currently payments are processed during placeOrder graphql mutation.
This works with payments-stripe example because you create payment same time as you build order.
Problem occurs when user needs to supply additional information for payment.
Example (payment with credit card):
If payment requires stronger authentication, which redirects to a different website and user fails this authentication then the order will still be created and cart deleted, which should not be the case.

Hello people i am trying to make a custom plugin in reaction. I have define schema , resolver, query , mutations then I register them in register.js file and again register to outer register.js file as mentioned in tuterial but I can't get my custom API 's doc and schema in graphql bata and I can' t access it from graphql beta . So What may be the problem here ?? Does i need to do something anywhere in another file??

@loan-laux I was checking you tutorial for deploying reaction on Amazon but there is no explanation about how to do the Next.js build for storefront, can you explain me how to do it? I am trying to add next-i18next for translations but I coudln't make it work with server side rendering
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@karaarda For the storefront, the build instructions are the same as for the backend. Same as for building any Docker production image to be frank. docker build -t [tag] and you're set!
As for next-i18next, that's an issue you'll have to bring up with their dev team. I've had the problem with some other dependencies in the past, and it's always a great opportunity to make a PR and contribute to these projects.

@karaarda
@loan-laux I didn't mean building the docker, but building with next
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@karaarda Aren't you deploying a Docker image, though?

@loan-laux can u tell me how to run 'meteor run ios’ or reaction command to make the iOS build??
Loan Laux
@loan-laux
@madhur77 Since the backend/admin is the only part of Reaction that's still running on Meteor, the admin interface would be the only thing that you could export as a mobile app. Also, this feature has never been supported by Reaction and I haven't heard of anyone using it (it's a bit hacky to be honest), so I wouldn't be too hopeful of it working flawlessly. And most importantly, I would really advise against using it as Meteor is being phased out gradually. You'd be much better off building a native app that leverages the GraphQL API.

Hey, I installed reaction commerce on my system and I want to change the homepage. I tried following the documentation but my custom page is not rendering on load; but it shows when I click on logo
When I type localhost:4000 on browser it shows default homepage but when I click on logo it renders my custom page.

hi I want to use new bootstrap theme for storefront can any one suggest good theme
Arda Kara
@karaarda
@loan-laux I will probably do that, yet it would be better to serve a proper built instead of using SSR

What is going on with Account? There is a name, firstname and lastname in the graphql schema, I coulnd't find mutation to create an account and an object called Accounts is used everywhere to make changes on accounts, and everything is everywhere
as far as I understand Accounts object comes from meteor/accounts-base but what about the graphql schema, where is it being used?

If I want to update all npm packages I should do it in "reaction" folder by type "meteor npm update"? It is correct way or no? Thanks)
and repeat same command in "example-storefront" folder?

Hi guys, I need to load custom file in custom plugin-server code. E.g.: to load .hbs file
Ross Hadden
@rosshadden
@Niko0918 You can run npm update, or docker run --rm reaction npm update if you are using docker (which is recommended)

Where is afterOrderUpdate catcher?
I see await appEvents.emit("afterOrderUpdate", { in multiple locations but I see no on("afterOrderUpdate").
Vigy
@vigyano
@dileepab I encountered same issue. It seems the Handling is calculated twice. If handling set to 0, this issue goes away. Created an issue reactioncommerce/reaction#5572

Where should I define a file for constants where I could import those constants between different plugins? I have seen (registerPluginHandler)[https://github.com/reactioncommerce/reaction-docs/blob/master/public-docs/how-to-share-code-between-plugins.md#registerpluginhandler] but the variables are not available before reaction is start up.

hi how mature is the reaction commerce framework? how many apps in production?
trying to compare using solidus vs reaction
rhong7
@rhong7

Hi I’m following the documentation for reaction commerce and when I run the command ‘make’, i get this error make: Nothing to be done for ‘all’ and nothing is installed

Does anyone know how to solve this? I’ve spent so much time to find solution

Arda Kara
@karaarda
@rhong7 I have no experience with Solidus but go with it

Any idea why this happens and how it can be fixed?

Sujit Sharma
@sujitsharma1166
@rhong7 have you clone the reaction platform with git clone git@github.com:reactioncommerce/reaction-platform.git command and cd reaction platform after installing docker, nodejs and all requirement. I need to know detail of your problem if not solve this way you can directly contact me on gmail sujit.dhakal1166@gmail.com

i totally had experienced a tremendous amount of friction with installing reaction commerce
previously i did it on VMs
now i decided to install ubuntu on a laptop and install it from there
getting only 3 containers at the end of installation
memory made available to docker is 7GB with 3 swap

@rastahbird do you run command docker ps up -d inside reaction platform/reaction
