    Hello, I would like to make these controllers for a simulator project with servomotors. I have already made my own PCBs so I already know the basics of kicad and soldering but do you have updated Bom or PCBs already populated?

    I would recommend using cheap Chinese servos for a completely new design. Right now many of these parts are difficult to find and the complexity of the stmbl is really only warranted in retrofit projects, with a preexisting machine you want to get running.
    I have the 750 watt version of these. They are plug and play. Rs-485 and step direction. $650 a piece sounds like a lot for a diy project but you will spend a lot more time sourcing stmbl parts, finding a suitable motor, waiting on assembly or performing the extremely difficult task of assembling on your own.

    interesting, but in fact my project starts from an existing simulator from "ECA FAROS" so I already have all the mechanics and servomotors perfectly adapted. I just need the drivers. so it's a retrofit in some way. I haven't started yet but I'm exploring all the possibilities.

    It's a truck drinving simulator. but the mobile platform is so huge that I'm thinking of redesigning things on it.
    I was thinking of buying the pcb's from pcbway or other Chinese manufacturer with the stencils. the IRAM256 are still available from rochester. i wanted to know if anyone has ever made an updated BOM. there is BOM on this thread from 2017.

    Originally the simulators was composed of the mobile platform and a a separate electrical cabinet containing the computers and motors drivers. I don't have the cabinet so I have to reconnect to the original motors (NX 430 from PARVEX) for the software there are some software to extract the data from public games and to control in step-dir motors.

    I have 12 drives I would like to sell, I’m gonna swap the motors on my robot, it’s a more straightforward approach. So I have 12 drives, 10 or so blank boards, 6 irams with right pins and 6 with straight pins and a grab bag of smt parts, I also have a Mesa 7i80 db and a 7i74. Asking $3500 for all of it.
    I’ll be posting it on eBay for that price in the next day or two.

    Yes they’re version 4.4 6 of the drives were made in China and assembled by Andy I think? 6 were made in China and have not been fully assembled just populated boards ready for the irams and capacitors
    So actually subtract 6 irams they’re for the drives that haven’t been fully assembled.
    I think 6 of the drives were made in 2016 and the others were made 2020

    Well yeah they’re ready to go just solder in the irams and the capacitors, I have it all in the lot.

    One of the assembled drives is bad but I have a fully populated board to replace it not part of the 12 pack

    $255 a piece though I’d certainly prefer to sell the lot and be done with it.
    Itching to gut these beasts, make the adapters and call it done.
    But the sale of the stmbls pays for the Chinese drive kits.

    @Borderpatrol offered STMBLs of version 4.4. But on Github I can only find version 4.3.
    Where do I find version 4.4?

    @boerderpatrol sold me all of his STMBL drives. There are 6 completed v4.1 drives, and a partially completed v4.3. I was going to test them to make sure they work then offer them to the forum here.

    hello! I need help. I want to connect via usb to hv board, but there is no usb_device.c file. if i use libs from stm32cube it doesn't work. how can I do it?

    The usb on the hv board is only for programming via bootloader, there is no usb support in the firmware.

    Hi i'm having troubles with my stmbl & AC servo. the resolver works fine. when i'm using 24volt on HV board i can joy the motor. but the motor runs a bit jerky from time to time.. sometimes i get a saturation error. when connecting 320V to the stmbl the servo is more jerky and i get more saturation errors and position errors..somebody has a idea where to start solving this.. thanks

    thanks @issyvarsano , i got the motor running pretty decent. good torque at all speeds.
    Sometimes my laptop built-in mouse starts to act weird when the stmbl is connected and servo running..when i disable the drive its back to normal. i guess this is not very safe....somebody experienced the same problem??

    Is it a wireless mouse? I have a wireless mouse at work, and that gets weird if the office is unusually full. Nothing to do with servo drives, but shows that they are susceptible to interference.

    it's a grounding issue
    you get capacitive coupling of the motor voltages and then the touchpad acts up
    I have it sometimes too
