    @awulkan
    How are you planning to build it?
    Harry Wolff
    @hswolff
    i'm making an api based off your site
    and then making a regular ol' react app to power it
    so you can view all your files, edit it in the browser, save it
    the react app will be self contained, just hitting apis
    Alex
    @awulkan
    ok, cool. Good luck. :)

    Is Reptar support on Windows?
    Alex
    @awulkan
    Not fully afaik. Last time I used it the watch feature didn't work I think.
    Harry Wolff
    @hswolff
    hey hanu!
    I do want to add refresh mode via reptar/reptar#48
    Not implemented yet
    Windows support I'm not sure of atm, i don't have a dedicated windows test machine unfortunately

    Is there a type that needs to be added after new?
    Just read the error code reptar new file works

    Hi. I'm new to node. I am looking at deploying and serving static sites with reptar on heroku. I can get it running with 'reptar serve', but how is it possible to get it running on heroku. Is there something I can do in package.json to run the command 'reptarb serve'?

    Hello! I'm in the process of automating reptar with Jake. Is there a way I can create a new post and pass the title of the post as a parameter?
    Something like $reptar new file title="the_post_title"
    Harry Wolff
    @hswolff
    oh dear, i need to get notifications working in here
    Dan Perrera
    @dperrera
    On a post page is there a way to navigate to the previous or next post?
    Harry Wolff
    @hswolff
    not sure there is
    each individual page doesn't have knowledge of its content

    I like the name Reptar, but i think we should name it C-Lo Greene
    Harry Wolff
    @hswolff
    hah why?

    If you're trying to use SASS with Reptar v3, would you expect a global variables file to work, or is that still a feature that's being worked on? I just tried upgrading from v2 to v3, and it seems that my .scss files will no longer compile because I created a global variables file that gets imported in a main.scss ahead of other files (e.g. layout.scss) that use those global variables. Reptar seems to behave as if those variables are undefined unless I redeclare the variable within each file separately.

    @mattbatman

    I'll get a response from the command-line like this:
    reptar

    building

    ✔ Running "lifecycle.willUpdate". (8ms)
    ✔ Reading files. (107ms)
    ✔ Running "lifecycle.didUpdate". (1ms)
    ✔ Running "middlewares". (139ms)
    ✔ Running "lifecycle.willBuild". (1ms)
    ✔ Cleaning destination. (2ms)
    ✖ Writing destination.
    error: Undefined variable: "$white-tint".

    @mattbatman
    Based on reptar/reptar#77, I'm thinking I need to explicitly tell Reptar to ignore my .scss files that begin with an underscore
    Jorge
    @JorgeGarcia_gitlab

    so.. is this still alive? :D

    I wanted to give static site generators a try to learn something new and came across Reptar and Jekyll but I was going to start with reptar first cos it´s built in node. The thing is that checking the repo's contributions and also having a look to this chatroom it doesn´t seem very active to me :(

    Alex
    @awulkan
    I don't think it's active anymore. You could always try Hexo.
    https://github.com/hexojs/hexo
    Hugo is cool as well, but it is in Golang
    Jorge
    @JorgeGarcia_gitlab
    how about gatsby? I'm reading about it but it seems a little bit overkill for just building static pages... Thanks for the link, I´ll check Hexo as well
    Alex
    @awulkan
    I think it uses React, if that's your thing.
    Phenomic is another interesting SSG using React
    Jorge
    @JorgeGarcia_gitlab
    btw I´m not trying to buid a blog but a static site, I'm trying to have the advantage of templates to avoid PHP for not repeating myself when writing every single html page
