The IMEI is only known after there is a purchase not before

Ohh. Then you’re gunna have to do it off something else to associate it to that order
If you don’t know the IMEI which is the UID
Then you really can’t associate it before checkout

Okay: so you’re trying to associate an IMEI with a warranty purchase after checkout. Right?
If so, then you really can’t do that in liquid. You’d just have to add an order note in Admin on the order with the IMEI. Because it sounds like your products aren’t unique for each IMEI

More like linking product together. Product(Device) to Warranty. The after checkout is another step we would have to I'd have to work towards
The IMEI are picked up per order by a WMS
(Warehouse Management System)

For reference a site like Gazelle does warranty but I believe they are doing it the way that you were referring too @hughker by adding it in the variant ID in the warranty Product Notes (Line Item)
