Hello Everyone! I am Shaistha Fathima from India. Currently, MCA 2nd yr student. I am interested in total 4 project ideas listed on the idea page but would like to interact with the mentors to cut it down to one or two proposals. Is it ok to contact the mentors directly for such cases?
Another question: I would like to begin making contributions to the RoboComp, could you please suggest any good issues wrt to the GSOC. Thank you.
A little amount me:
I am AI and Cybersecurity enthusiast with my interest mainly inclining towards computer vision, signal processing, federated learning, and differential privacy. It's mostly self-learned also, I have completed my Computer Vision Nanodegree from Udacity (scholarship as per SPAI challenge) and currently enrolled in Advanced Data Science with IBM Coursera course. My most recent project - group project is (part of Udacity Intel Edge challenge) on speaker diariazation and user segmentation using Kaldi.
I am graduate student at Indiana University, pursuing computer science with specialization in AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. I work as a research assistant at IU and my research focuses on domain of graph neural networks. I have good deep learning background and have done some projects! I also have been learning computer vision(deep learning as well as the traditional techniques) this semester. I am working on 3d semantic segmentation problem currently for a computer vision course.
I am looking forward to contribute to one of the projects from following list

SLICE_PATH environment variable was not exported. Using only the default paths. I am relatively new to robocomp, It would be of great help if someone could guide me out.
