    Hey man! Glad to see your sticking with this
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    thanks man, I had to reset the project. Turns out that MongoDb is a no go for bitcoin transactions
    We're going to go with Postgresql, just working on it now. I've been talking to a guy who has build a bitcoin gambling site and he said that he is also interested in helping out on bitcoin related stuff.

    @ddehueck
    Ah so node.js is out then?
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    Node is in.
    It's a good fit I think.
    I'm just deciding whether or not to use an ORM like sequelize or just the 'pg' module
    I think I will copy reddit's DB structure though: https://glennas.wordpress.com/tag/open-schema/
    only two tables, 'things' and 'data'
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    Yea if we keep it simple for now that would be best
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    yeah
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    Have you had anytime to think about handling user's wallets and the transactions?
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    yeah, we'll want to do something called 'off chain transactions' between users
    so that we don't have to pay transaction fees
    and I posted a link to your issue regarding blockchain events.
    RE balance, we can just keep a DB tally.
    I think the main objective is just to build out a usable forum first.
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    I agree, off chain transactions seem like the best best for the amount that will be sent with each upvote.
    Do you think there'd be any legal issues with off chain transactions as we would be combining all the transactions on the site as one transaction?
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    I don't know
    If you think of a better name we can move the repo into an organisation
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    oh god the name is always the hardest part
    maybe something like upBit or CoinVote
    coinvote.com is taken
    And so is upBit.com
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    bit and coin everything is taken
    maybe .io would be fine
    but the opensource project name doesn't have to be the same name as the forum
    someone could use the software to create their own forum
    I mean, bitocin-reddit may attract more attention
    bitcoin-reddit *
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    We should go for something a bit technical if we'll leave it up as open source then move it to a repository with the sites name once we're satisfied with the code.
    Roland N Sharp
    @rolandnsharp
    can you say that in another way. I'm a little confused at the first part
    maybe I should rename it to node-bitcoin-reddit
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    Haha nvm node-bitcoin-reddit should work
    ddehueck
    @ddehueck
    So I just saw your reply on the issue. I like chain.com quite a bit I think we could use their service
