    np... hey we bought a new house, hope you will be out soon to see it. Plenty of guest rooms, temp controlled wine cellar, and walking distance to the hip area of town!
    we moved our bed and kitchen stuff in on our 37'th anniversary, so we are kind of camping out for now.

    @/all If there is a View file home.html.erb displaying N components:

    #view.html.erb

    <%= react_component "comp1" %>
    <%= react_component "comp2" %>
    <%= react_component "comp3" %>
    ....
    <%= react_component "compN" %>

    Do I have N lines ?

    Hyperloop::Connection Load (0.7ms)  SELECT  "hyperloop_connections".* FROM "hyperloop_connections" WHERE "hyperloop_connections"."channel" = ? AND "hyperloop_connections"."session" = ? LIMIT ?  [["channel", "Hyperloop::Application"], ["session", "c351d46f-8f75-48b9-a95e-3df8e59f3733-3bbe18235ce218cc4f203898ed87299f"], ["LIMIT", 1]]
       (0.1ms)  begin transaction
      SQL (0.7ms)  INSERT INTO "hyperloop_connections" ("channel", "session", "created_at", "expires_at") VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?)  [["channel", "Hyperloop::Application"], ["session", "c351d46f-8f75-48b9-a95e-3df8e59f3733-3bbe18235ce218cc4f203898ed87299f"], ["created_at", "2017-08-19 17:32:35.143474"], ["expires_at", "2017-08-19 17:32:45.143729"]]
       (89.3ms)  commit transaction

    It looks like the answer is YES, but is it a NORMAL or HEALTHY behaviour ?

    Because it looks like that is what happen to one the Polish guy had the multilines Hyperloop::Connectionproblem.

    @catmando could you look at the issue raised in the main chat? I have not worked with that yet and do not yet understand it.

    Does connect_session as described in the docs at http://ruby-hyperloop.io/docs/operations/docs/#broadcasting-to-the-current_session currently work? I keep getting getting "undefined method connect_session for Object". I haven't been able to locate the implementation in the source, either.

    @/all - Fred and I have started the website V3 rewrite. Well you know, new season time for a new website.
    The new website will:
    • be a 100% Hyperloop SPA (featuring Components, Stores, and Operations)
    • be built with Opal and Webpack (no Middleman)
    • demonstrate the use of hyperloop-js as a simple alternative deployment method (hyperloop-js coming in via NPM)
    • consist of just three files (index.html, app.js and app.css)
    • have super fast client-side search
    • ultra-responsive UI based on SemanticUIReact (we are ditching bootstrap)
    • work online and offline
    • HTTP.get all DOCS.md pages directly from the gems with client-side markdown
    • have live editing with (hopefully) a Ruby linter and good error messages
    • be beautiful to behold!
      Is there anything else anyone thinks we should be considering?
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    And I forgot to mention:
    • will be as SEO friendly as the current site (through pre-rendering)
    • will use HyperRouter for routing

    @barriehadfield thx, here's a photo I took of our partial eclipse through the eclipse glasses

    Amazing! an auspicious sign clearly for the new website :-)

    @barriehadfield
    @fzingg all the DOCS are finsihed.

    @barriehadfield
    @fzingg well done on completing all the READMEs - great job!

    @catmando - summary of things to know:
    • Fred and I have a new website underway https://github.com/ruby-hyperloop/hyperloop-website
    • Please read the messages in the main chat from today
    • Jan completed the loader work - I am not sure if he issued a PR, he has been asking about release process etc (in private chats with him it seems he is keen on getting more involved)
    • The Hyperloop::Connection issue (above) is still open but I dont think it is urgent anymore
    • That’s all I can think of - @fzingg you?
      And finally - welcome back!
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    folks any reason not to add jan and illogic to the core team.... they both are chomping at the bit to contribute I think...
    Frederic ZINGG
    @fzingg
    Yes you're right. Good to add them.
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    @barriehadfield ???
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    Great @catmando - the ultimate goal must be to grow and include more and more people. Very happy.
    Can we rename this chat ‘core-team’ or something?
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    yeah the problem is its public
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    ahh
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    I guess we have to pay $$ to get a private chat area
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    your up late Mitch - time for you to go to bed soon!
    @catmando did you see my comment in the main thread - its often OpalHotReloader that causes that
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    yes, but in this case I think not, maybe who knows.
    there is definitely a bug in hyper-model, I think because he is using nested record names like Foo::Bar, which I don't believe has been tested.
    I think its finding all the classes inside of Foo, and treating them as column names.
    good news, its reproducible. shouldn't be a big deal I think.
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    great
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    also he is doing some good stuff, which is a good stress test.
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    A quick poll - which do you prefer?
    • ‘npm install hyperloop-js’
    • ‘npm install ruby-hyperloop’
    • ‘npm install ruby-hyperloop-js’
    I will finish testing today, but the above install all of Hyperloop client code, all configured with NPM and Webpack) - we have choices as to the name of the NPM module to use. Putting ruby in there makes it more unique and findable, but the repo is hyperloop-js so I am confused as what the best thing to call it is!
    question above to @/all
    Frederic ZINGG
    @fzingg
    @barriehadfield ruby-hyperloop looks good to me, then rename the repo and update tutos. Depends what will be the future of hyperloop, ruby or another language. But at least with ruby for few years.
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    does it make sense to call the compiled JS version of Hyperloop ‘ruby-hyperloop’ though? Oh dear, this is one of these issues which is going to make me all twisted up in a knot!
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    :-) we could always go back to hyperloop-express
    @barriehadfield - I do not see how to setup a room or restrict access
    or add people to a private chat
    okay figured it out I think
    mareczek
    @mareczek
    @barriehadfield ruby-hyperloop +1
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    ok, ruby-hyperloop +2 so far - I guess it makes sense from a NPM user perspective - you are installing the JS side of a ruby project
    mareczek
    @mareczek
    @barriehadfield that was my reasoning
    @barriehadfield but considering that the gem itself is called hyperloop maybe calling the npm package as hyperloop would fit best?
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
    sadly that is taken :-)
    Mitch VanDuyn
    @catmando
    lets move conversation - hopefully all all saw note elsewhere...
    Barrie Hadfield
    @barriehadfield
