Hi all,

In May, on Scala Days Europe, I'll be taking part in a discussion about how to teach Scala. I focus on programmers coming from other communities, who want to learn another language. Could you help me and take a short survey?
You don't have to necessarily want to learn Scala. The poll is about general motivations to learn another programming language. Also, if you want to talk about your experiences, feel free to contact me.

thanks!
I thought about allowing that, but decided not to. too many options make it difficult to reason about the results.

Fair enough. But it is common these days that most people work on more than 1 language

yes, I know. but even then we usually spend more time with one language than the others. so, I thought this is what I want to know.

Hi all!

I'm searching a mature zip library written with Rust, but I can't find almost anything. Anyone knows one?

My search keywords: rust zip library (on duckduckgo and google).

I hope I posted this message in the right place.

you could fork it and maintain it yourself :P

@Songbird0 How about helping one of these?

(Or at least reporting issues)
Though I've seen some bindings to a C library on crates.io. Do you really need that lib to be written in rust, or to be usable in rust?

I don't think I have the skills to maintain this/theses repository/repositories.

One does not accept tickets, the other already has a ticket related to my problem i. e. the size of zip files.

No. I would like a usable library in rust, at least.

Indeed, I hadn't found it (poorly searched). I'll try this! Thanks.

@Dylan-DPC Understood. I've bookmarked the repository, in case compress doesn't help me.

@Songbird0 that is a very negative approach... you can do it.. you might struggle along the way but it will only help you learn
