Hello,
I used curl to download DroidSansMono Nerd Font like this:
mkdir -p ~/.local/share/fonts
cd ~/.local/share/fonts && curl -fLo "Droid Sans Mono for Powerline Nerd Font Complete.otf" https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/raw/master/patched-fonts/DroidSansMono/complete/Droid%20Sans%20Mono%20Nerd%20Font%20Complete.otf
Michel Difils
@mdifils
and I got a string : 'Droid Sans Mono for Powerline Nerd Font Complete.otf'
so I can't install the font with the following command:
./install.sh DroitSansMono
Can you help me to install it please? thanks

Hey there, I have just a quick question about the "Meslo" font. What exactly do the suffixes like S/M/L/-DZ mean?
Stephan
@r4d1um

Hey there, I just installed the NerdFonts on my macOS using brew

brew tap homebrew/cask-fonts
brew cask install font-hack-nerd-font

Now I added to my vimrc

set guifont=DroidSansMono\ Nerd\ Font:h11

but it does not make any effect what can I do?

Stephan

Got it to work

I've been running your patcher on these manually for years, but I'd love to see these added to youer repo as "DroidSansMonoSZ Nerd Font Mono" (http://www.cosmix.org/software/files/DroidSansMonoSlashed.zip) and "DroidSansMonoDZ Nerd Font Mono" (http://www.cosmix.org/software/files/DroidSansMonoDotted.zip). Slashed/Dotted zeros seem to be pretty popular variants, and it seems like it save everyone time and trouble if you would add these (patched with your patcher, of course) as part of the repo. Thanks.

Anyone know how to get powerline glyphs working on Noto Sans Mono Nerd Font?

Hello, I want to have Source Code Pro regular, italic and bold but I don't understand what I have to do https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts#option-2-release-archive-download For example to install the regular I would download and save to the fonts folder this https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/blob/master/patched-fonts/SourceCodePro/Regular/complete/Sauce%20Code%20Pro%20Nerd%20Font%20Complete.ttf

I've downloaded the 2.24GB Source Code Pro zip from the latest release page and this is what I think I have to do: extract to /usr/local/share/fonts if I want system wide or ~/.local/share/fonts if I want the fonts only for my user, and then fc-cache -f -v "$FONTS/source-code-pro". Is that correct?
ajr-dev
@ajr-dev
When I've extracted it I've seen many more fonts than I wanted

hi! the restart symbol nf-mdi-restart (hex fc07) seems to align to the right. that's really weird and breaks it's usage in some cases. it behaves differently than other symbols i've tried. is this a bug or am i just doing something wrong? to reproduce, open a text editor with, for instance, iosevka nerd font and write the symbol (ﰇ). it gets right aligned.
or "JetBrainsMono NF"
Jaakko Luttinen
@jluttine
this happens on gedit and kate text editors at least. i'm trying to use the symbol in rofi but it also breaks because of the alignment. but it seems the symbol is right aligned in other monospace fonts too, not just nerdfonts
so probably i'm doing something wrong..

hpfr Guess I’ll create an issue then haha

@matrixbot
hpfr it appears my message failed to send
hpfr yo, do you distribute just a font with all the icon sets in it, not a patched standard font? icons only. I can't seem to find something like this, it would be useful to me my apps support font fallbacks fine, then I could just use regular fonts with one icon font instead of 4GB of nerd fonts. proportional and monospaced versions would be even better
matrixbot
@matrixbot
hpfr since nerd fonts already has the infrastructure set up to avoid codepoint conflicts and other issues, it seems like it wouldn't be too much extra work?

hpfr Ryan L McIntyre (Gitter): ok I see you have this generate_fontconfig script that generates the icons-only "Symbols Nerd Font". I have a couple requests:
  1. Could you generate a proportional and monospaced variant instead of just one font? Perhaps they would be called "Symbols Nerd Font" and "Symbols Nerd Font Mono". This would allow users to set the proportional variant as fallbacks to sans and serif fonts for use outside of code, such as in menu bars like polybar.
  2. Could you provide these fonts in the releases like the others? That way users don't have to generate it themselves.
    Thanks. Also, is there a reason they are .ttf and not .otf? I know otf has more features

Is there a simple and sane way to transform the symbols-only 100-em mono font into a 500-em one?

Still curious, just in case anyone here now knows

I'm seeing problems (cut off font at the bottom) win Anonymice font under win10, with specific font size, only under gvim.
specifically: set guifont=Anonymice_Nerd_Font_Mono:h14:cDEFAULT:qDEFAULT gives me:
image.png
the gs in third line have their bottom part cut off
can anyone confirm they're seeing that as well, before I open a bug? :)
(yes, this is Windows version of the font)

Hey all, I've downloaded a font, but I'm using a terminal emulator which makes me specify font family by name, and I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly which name I'm supposed to use. Is there a shortcut for figuring out what my computer calls a font family?

What version is the FiraCode nerd font based off of? The base font is v4 at this point, but I'm not sure about this.

Hey folks -- am I missing something? The previews of a bunch of fonts on https://gitter.im/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts seem to be just wrong. e.g. Proggy, ProFont, others. (Very visible on Proggy -- Proggy looks like this: https://proggyfonts.net/download/ )
Also, are any of the fonts on nerd-fonts proportional? (Ones I keep trying are the ones with the broken previews :D ) Thanks!

Hello, I'm trying to display a glyph in vim (for Elm); it only displays a question mark. Any suggestions?
I tried to copy/paste the glyph into the webdevicons.vim file with the same displayed result.
