Hi everyone,
I added support for signed requests here.
https://github.com/razeetg/jInstagram - in case anyone is interested. It needs to be improved before it can be incorporated into the main build.
So I am not sending a pull request yet.

hi guys
someone online there?
I have a question about the locations
instagram.searchMedia(lat, long); method provides pagination or not?
razeetg
@razeetg
Hi sembozdemir
I think you might have to use searchMedia(double latitude, double longitude, Date maxTimeStamp, Date minTimeStamp, int distance)
and use various date ranges to get media in pages
Not aware of another method.
sembozdemir
@sembozdemir
yes i have just implemented it. Thank you. :)

hey
anyone else experienced this: sachin-handiekar/jInstagram#166
i upgraded to 1.1.6 yesterday & swear i had no issues
pushed to our PROD branch, and today started seeing paginated signed requests fail
anyway, i've fixed it in sachin-handiekar/jInstagram#165
some review & maybe a quick turnaround on 1.1.7 to maven central would be super awesome :smile:

Hi,

I have a question regarding the API.

How can I use this in android with Volley/OkHttp/Retrofit?

I am under the impression that I need to write an AsyncTask for every call I make, but I am trying to avoid this and find a generic approach.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

@abargnesi
Hey folks, I submitted #187 to remove logging impl jars from the runtime classpath. Have a look if you can. This aids in integrating the library into an application that provides their own implementation for slf4j.

Hey there, could you answer when documentation will be updated ?

Hey, does anyone know if you can authenticate with instagram 100% on the server?
It seems that they always want to redirect the user to a browser to login
But I'm trying to automate a media search that runs fully on a server
Tony Bargnesi
@abargnesi
You need to obtain the token first via OAuth (requiring browser for Auth). Then just use jInstagram with the token on the back end.
Jim Lynch
@JimLynchCodes
ok thanks, but doesn't the access token expire?
so we will manually have to keep recreating access tokens?
Tony Bargnesi
@abargnesi
Tokens can be expired by instagram or revoked by the user, but otherwise are reliable to use for many api calls. To my knowledge, you will have to call the instagram Auth Url to get a new token but this could be automated.
