riddimHmm - https://forum.safedev.org/t/rfc-discussion-xor-urls/2365/89 this might be the relevant post with definition of the parts of the link
riddimBecause if @bzee:matrix.org did the implementation months ago it was probably the first version of xor links and not the one active in Fleming @happybeing:matrix.org
happybeingThanks for looking into the Q.
happybeingI now have Solid Filemanager working in read-only mode on Fleming 🙂
riddimwelcome in ;)
riddimwhat precisely do you mean by this?
kofi123Safe network I want to join you in the networking development
riddimoh :) cool! (but this here is more a developers chat meant for people wanting to write apps for SAFE)
kofi123Anyway I in Africa Ghana
riddim(and is community run; maidsafe people here are just part of the community as you and me)
riddimto be honest i'm not aware of open positions at Maidsafe at the moment (and I am not exactly sure about the further funding plans of the company; I don't think they do have 'excess money' right now ...) but if you just are an experienced developer and just want to help out you surely can contact Maidsafe at email@example.com
riddimhmhmm - maidsafe is about to release a major next step fairly soon; i am not sure they can afford unexperienced developers right now (because that might take time/energy off the implementation work) ... but then again i'm not working for maidsafe and don't know anything about their real financial situation/current priorities for sure ... it's just the feeling that after the release&after having sorted the financial situation might be a better time to knock at their door ... [but you won't find out if you don't do it]
ridSorry @JeromeBell but Salvorin is probably right - posting in the dev forum will be the best option (https://forum.safedev.org/?discourse_app=1) - the tutorial is probably a bit outdated and was for the alpha 2 network I guess - by now the vault interface has changed and I don't think maidsafe had a chance to update the tutorial yet..
ridYou can use the 'shared vault' that is up and running for testing the interface (and use the 'safe cli' to create an account and preload it with some test safecoin)
ridSorry - no time for links but that's the keywords to search for in the safenetforum.org
mistHi everyone. Quick question - what limits someone's ability to build illegal apps on the SAFE network? I mean it would be pretty convenient for all those nice people who run drugs/pedophilia/weapons marketplaces on the dark web to just migrate them to the SAFE network so they won't be taken down? What prevents this in the protocol?

What precisely is illegal in which country and how can the network determine legislation/user region..?
ridLong story short - it will be a decentralized autonomous network - and the content will be what people want and need - to follow the law is part of the people's duty nothing a autonomous could do (or something you would want such a network to do... You probably wouldn't want to be part of the minority opinion about stuff that needs to be legal/illegal on a global scale..)
Salvorin Fex > <Adam Winstanley> Hi, I’m new and interested in developing on SAFE, have just joined network and looking to see how feasible it would be to build our applications.
Howdy Adam, your best resource for Developing stuff is here: https://forum.safedev.org/
Adam WinstanleyThanks, I have signed up. Registered for downloading the dapps and reading more on implementation.
Adam Winstanley > <Salvorin Fex> Great, have you also read the Community written Primer?
Not yet, literally only signed up an hour ago. I have known about SAFE for a few years but never got into the detail and only now have a project that could be viable for it
Adam WinstanleyThanks and I look forward to reading more and being an active member of your community.
Salvorin FexWelcome to the Future!
Adam Winstanley🤘 The future is bright! Are there other telegram channels for end users?
Salvorin FexYes, @safenetwork for general discussions & @maidsafecoin for trading and coin chat.
Adam WinstanleyOk, that’s good. I might also create my own for the consortia so that they don’t go down a rabbit hole of chat about crypto
