    [tg] <riddim> heyhey
    [tg] <riddim> someone online who knows which version of which library is currently compatible with which version of the network?
    [tg] <riddim> hmmm - i guess https://forum.safedev.org/t/download-safes-latest-versions/2730 is a nice overview

    [dc] <Rhys> Why is this project taking so much longer to develop than others? don't even have real cryptos yet? only tokens?
    [dc] <Rhys> also does maid have a marketing budget once they do complete?
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [dc] <Rhys> I've been following this project for 5/6 years and still only tokens

    [dc] <Marcin> The Internet Computer
    The Internet Computer extends the internet — enabling developers to natively host special “software canisters” and data. Formed by an open protocol that combines massive compute capacity provided by a global network of independent data centers. The Internet Computer is secure and unstoppable, and built for websites, enterprise systems, smart contracts, DeFi systems, and a new breed of open internet services that runs as part of the fabric of the Internet itself — reversing Big Tech's monopolization of the internet, and ensuring a more collaborative future. https://dfinity.org/

    [dc] <Scorch> Hope this is the right place for this. I’ve been interested in getting involved in contributing to maidsafe but im a little new to the open source lifecycle and a little unsure where to start.

    Technically, I feel like I have a decent handle on things. I’ve read most of the white papers and Im coming to grips with the code. Although, still not sure how to best contribute right now.

    The getting started guide recommends checking the issues page and picking stuff up. If there’s nobody assigned to an issue can I assume there’s nobody currently working on it already? Some issues get posted and merged without ever being assigned, so not sure if that’s a good metric. Also some of the issues were posted up to a year ago and never had anybody do anything about them. Can I assume those are still open or just abandoned?

    Thanks if anybody can help out with this

    [tg] <ThreeSteps> Hey guys, any good tutorial on developing with the safenet api for nodejs?
    [tg] <ThreeSteps> I want to do simple experimental projects, uploading data like songs/pictures/files, giving out permissions to view.
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [tg] <riddim> hmhmmm - if i'm not mistaken the permission system is being altered right now (/implemented in a way that works with CRDTs)
    [tg] <riddim> ....and i'm afraid you will most certainly need to post in the dev-forum if you want maidsafe devs to answer your questions ..
    [tg] <riddim> (the https://hub.safedev.org/dapps most certainly doesn't reflect the current way to develop apps for safe anymore ...)
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [mx] <chpio> yeah, but the code/api is far from done, the needed changes in rust-crdt/rust-crdt#88 got released just 7 days ago

    Hey guys, I think you really should consider the syscoin network. Much cheaper to create the token and also for maid holders to move and exchange the old tokens for new ones.
    And with syscoin bridge, maid would be on both networks, syscoin and ethereum erc-20, so exchanges could choose to install the ERC-20 wallet or the syscoin one (or even both).
    Binance is going to do that with its BUSD. And if binance does, probably other exchanges would do the same soon.
    Syscoin developers would be really happy to support you.
    Even for marketing purposes, it would be better because it would have the help of syscoin community and it's something different, not only to create another ERC-20 more...
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [dc] <gorrion> Good idea!! 💡
    [tg] <ThreeSteps> If there would be a good overview of both for syscoin and normal erc20 conversion with pros and cons I think the community can do a proper vote once more. If this does indeed help with gas fees but keeps the abilities of erc20 and DeFi listings, wallet supports and easy exchange listings why not.

    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> Hey guys, @cryptozgz invited me in to discuss Syscoin. I am one of the Foundation Members. So if you have any questions feel free to ask and will be happy to answer. If we can come up with a solution that fits best for you chain, awesome! If not, no worries at all, just here to offer another solution.
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [tg] <ThreeSteps> How many are already listed on Syscoin, what are the benefits over normal erc20 token, if MAID were to go with sys how does it work with smart contracts?
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> So basically we have a bridge that is trust minimised, with no need of any 3rd party intervention. It allows the best of both worlds. Once the bridge is setup you can move between chains, to use the ethereum side for smart contracts etc, and use syscoin for scaling, point of sale, fast tps - we've been audited and are capable of 60k tps w/ bursts of 140k+ in main net.
    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> A list of coins that have the bridge setup can be viewed here.
    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> We are POW merged mined and are currently #2 in highest hashrate, BTC being the first. So we have high security provided by POW.
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot

    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> I see the main reason for wanting change is to get onboarded on more exchanges by utilising erc20 standard tokens.

    So id say Create an Erc20, mint your tokens, create a bridge and use both depending on what your needs

    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> More info can be found below;
    https://bridge.syscoin.org
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot
    [tg] <ThreeSteps> And what would be the catch to use sys? Would you receive fees or commision in what kind of form?
    SAFE Network Bridge
    @safenetworkbot

    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> No catches in terms of commission, just offering another solution. If it doesn't fit your model that's no problem at all.

    Masternodes/miners run on the network do get a 50/50 split of fees for SPTs(syscoin platform tokens) being used, but those fees are tiny. You can check out the site below for fee savings;
    https://syscoin.org/fees/

    [tg] <ThreeSteps> Just know that I'm not representing Maidsafe, these are just my personal main questions, that might help out others who are reading along.
    Best solution for you would be to make a topic on Safenetforum.org
    [dc] <🛡BigPoppa> No worries at all mate. Will post a topic in regards.

    [tg] <ThreeSteps> Hey guys, I still receive this message after re-installing the whole SAFE CLI and adding shared-section.
    [2020-08-19T05:25:53Z ERROR safe] safe-cli error: Failed to connect: [Error] ConnectionError - Failed to connect to the SAFE Network: Unexpected("Connection timed out when bootstrapping to the network")
    [tg] <ThreeSteps> creating an account doesn't work either,

    [tg] <ThreeSteps> Is this due to the shared-section ONLY allowing routers with IGD?
    [tg] <ThreeSteps> I thought this was only for hosting a vault but not connecting

    [dc] <Salvorin> > Hi, Team. Nice to meet you all

    Could anyone give me the etherscan address of Safecoin?
    @appchain There is no such address, as Maidsafecoin does not exist on the Eth chain.
