@drocsid you're welcome! :smiley:
if you need any help, just ping me here

Hi @sake92 . I set the following properties to color the navbar, etc.
h3 {
 color: #d6e5e5;
}

#main-navbar {
  background-color: aliceblue;
}

a.navbar-brand {
  background-color: aliceblue;
}

a[href="about.html"] {
  background-color: aliceblue;
}

.navbar-brand {
  float: none;
}

@drocsid

I was going to try to see if I could work on the navbar fonts. Change the color. Maybe try to get something that looks like a logo from text.

If you know the property to change them or have another method let me know. I disabled the float so the favicon that I swapped out sits within the navbar. But then the "logo" text is now centered.

This is all related to the starter template
Another question would be how to swap the author icon for the blogSetting / withAuthor ...
I will read around the docs and look at the chats above to make sure I'm not asking about things that have already been discussed...
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
Regarding icons, currently it's not possible
You can probably copy-paste the whole "theme" and tweak it as you like.
About CSS stuff, I'm really bad at it, haha. If you can use existing Bootstrap stuff that would be better probably
Just extend FADependencies and then you can type FA.addressBook()
instead of manually stitching HTML
drocsid
@drocsid
Yeah I'm not really a great web page designer, just know some basic css stuff...
Ok, I will keep hacking away at it. Might just remove the whole withAuthor and Date business. I'm not really building a blog but more of an info site ...
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
yeah, here's source code of my site https://sake.ba
very basic, no blog stuff involved:
There's also this one: https://github.com/alexjbush/alexjbush.github.io/tree/source
but it doesn't use much of Hepek's abstraction, only the rendering part
mostly manually written HTML

@drocsid
I used the img("https://....") but it just put the text on my page
Yeah I did actually follow the link to your page earlier. I'm trying to make something a little prettier... But anyhow thanks again. I'm enjoying building the site with your project!
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
glad you like it.. :tada:
maybe img(src:="...") ?
drocsid
@drocsid
Ahh yeah. ScalaTags... Was thinking I should pop the documentation open for that. Sort of sleep deprived at this point. But driven to get a page built...
Do you know why the operator is := instead of just =?
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
it would have to be a named parameter then
now it accepts AttrPair*
which you construct with abc := "something"
you can put them in lists etc.
would be cumbersombe otherwise, I think
drocsid
@drocsid
Thanks. I will have to think about AttrPair* vs named parameters after I get some sleep..
I think the * is for varargs or variable length...
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
ofc, get some sleep first! :smile:
gotta go
drocsid
@drocsid
Yeah I should probably do that... Didn't get it built quick enouf...
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
Bundles API has been changed a bit.. Moved from inheritance to case classes
now you just use with*-ers :)

Hey @sake92 I was working on a chat like application using hepek. For dynamically rendering does hepek have any templating support or only option is to use js ?

What I need is something like

xhr map {
    render hepek component
  }

Don't wanna go scalajs route

is it possible ?
May be not since hepek is server side still asking.
Sakib Hadžiavdić
@sake92
You'd have to use JS for that
I do have plans to support ScalaJS in hepek components
when I find some time
Shubham Kamthania
@ikamthania
Ok thanks for the info. Do you have a design in mind how do you plan to do that ?
