I understand the motivation behind axis spines only extending the length of the data in toyplot, however, I find that it looks a bit clunky when you add tick marks to the bars, since the the spine doesn't extend the full length between ticks. In fact, it sometimes extends beyond the limits of the data. The example below is a binned barplot for data with no negative values, yet the x-axis spine extends to the left of the zero tick mark. Just a design thought. alt
I guess what I mean is that maybe I would expect the ticks and spine would line up more like in a base R barplot: alt
