    (to be more specific, the feature that we used to create xmpp accounts through the saros Ui was being abused by Spammers, so we had to disable it on our server. As part of the following discussion, we also decided to remove the feature from the Saros Ui as it won't be supported by most available xmpp servers and therefore would only lead to confusion)

    I tried to build the sarosEclipse myself from github
    I got "Could not find any version that matches javax.annotation:javax.annotation-api:[1.3.5,2.0.0)" any advice?

    I think its refering to https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/jakarta.annotation/jakarta.annotation-api

    But gradle is searching here: https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/javax/annotation/javax.annotation-api/ and only sees that there are no versions

    Seems like the issue is eclipses fault. Any workarround?

    @FelixSelter I just ran into the same problem with the CI (https://github.com/saros-project/saros/runs/2185841407?check_suite_focus=true). The code has not changed since the last successful execution (https://github.com/saros-project/saros/runs/2069428725), so I guess it's an external issue.

    Also is there an issue with the account system? my previously compiled files and updated server files cant connect?

    That might be a firewall issue with the default XMPP server saros-con.imp.fu-berlin.de. The firewall exception needs to renewed regularly and it might be that time of the year again :)

    Yep, I can confirm that from within *.fu-berlin.de, the server is reachable (and up & running), but not from the outside. It's very likely an expired firewall rule.

    I've started using Saros yesterday with one colleague and find it very cool. But I've two questions
    1. Is source code transmitted at session startup encrypted in any way ?
    1. Is it possible when choosing as a guest which projects are synchronized to select as default value the project having the same name than the incoming project ?

    The Saros Jabber server certificate expired a few days ago. Also, I am not able to register there - it always tells me I entered a wrong captcha.

    Hi, I have a problem with Saros on Eclipse, I installed saros but can't use it but don' know why, Can someone help me please?
    I used it a year ago with a friend and had no problems
