Oh hey, didn't realise you moved the repo :+1:
Sam Richard
@Snugug
Yup!
Sam Richard
@Snugug
Hey! Am I blocked on this until the AST parser is done?
Michael Mifsud
@xzyfer
Yeah so sorry, I've been working like a mad man to get Libsass 3.2.0 out the door.
Sam Richard
@Snugug
Please, no worries. You rock. Take your time
Michael Mifsud
@xzyfer
I've set myself the dead line to have a decent enough tokenizer and parser by June 1st
I've figured out the minimum I need to get the top requested rules to work
Parse
- [ ] ruleset blocks
- [ ] ruleset selectors
- [ ] nested ruleset blocks
- [ ] static declaration values
- [ ] static variables assignments
- [ ] static function names
- [ ] static mixin names
- [ ] function blocks
- [ ] mixin blocks
- [ ] @extend directive
- [ ] static lists

AST nodes
- [ ] new lines
- [ ] whitespace
- [ ] extends
- [ ] placeholder
- [ ] ruleset
- [ ] selector list
- [ ] selector
- [ ] declaration
- [ ] assignment
- [ ] variable
- [ ] number
- [ ] list
- [ ] string
- [ ] quote string
- [ ] function
- [ ] mixin

@Snugug
Do no worry about it if that's not done. You're doing a ton and I know the community will be happy with just one of the awesome things you work I

@xzyfer
I'm looking forward to shipping the current stable node-sass and Libsass. That'll be a lot off my plate for a little while.
Sam Richard
@Snugug
Yah, you've done truly awesome things with them
Michael Mifsud
@xzyfer
Thanks dude, really appreciate it < 3
Sam Richard
@Snugug
Seriously though, 6 months ago I couldn't use Libsass/Node Sass. You and the guys you work with have totally changed that and it's changed how I work. Thank you.
Michael Mifsud
@xzyfer
Full disclosure: that is likely to be quoted to in my conf talk
Sam Richard
@Snugug
And I'm totally OK with that

I can't get Sass-Lint to run

npm run sasslint doesn't work

sasslint.png
So it runs, but it never catches any of the obvious errors that I have put in there that go against the rules in the .sass-lint.yml files in my project root
if I do sass-lint -h and run it, it will output the help info
but all other commands I've tried fail to run properly
The Jared Wilcurt
@TheJaredWilcurt
I tried in an Ubuntu VM and it worked properly. The only difference between the two is the OS and Ubuntu has Node v6.6.0 and Windows has Node v5.5.0

Has anybody noticed that when sass-linting an scss file with front matter, the line counting is off by the number of lines in the front-matter? It looks like there needs to be a bias variable added to the lint -identified lines, where the bias is 0 when no front matter is present, or 2+fm.frontmatter().match(/\n/g).length if it is. This needs to be at or around line 18 of lib/groot.js.

Would any sass-lint contributors like to participate in Google Code-in as a mentor? http://coala.io has applied as an 'umbrella organisation', with linters mentoring a few tasks for their own tool. All you need to do is nominate a few of your bugs that you believe a talented high school student could do in a 3-7 days, and agree to mentor them if they run into trouble or need to ask questions about direction, and commit to do code review with 36 hrs of them submitting their PR . coala GCI mentor signup form

@jayvdb I think DanPurdy and bgriffith are who you should ask, and they are not in chat.
https://github.com/sasstools/sass-lint/graphs/contributors
You can create an issue in a repo and they'll give you a pretty quick response
