    thanks @dickwall for getting the episode-40 audio up :-)
    Dick Wall
    @dickwall
    yeah - sorry for the delay and not getting on the community conference updates as well. things will calm down a bit after scalaworld and I can jump on stuff like that then
    Dick Wall
    @dickwall
    Time for another scalawags yet?
    Seth Tisue
    @SethTisue
    +1

    What comes first - next scalawags or 2.12 final? :)
    Salar Rahmanian
    @softinio
    a scalawags before and after 2.12 final :-)
    Seth Tisue
    @SethTisue
    we better do an episode candidate first
    before the real episode
    Devis Lucato
    @dluc
    looking forward to 2.12 without other RCs, the cross-compilation to support 2.12 is becoming expensive

    any chance of an end of year special? it feels like it’s been a vintage year :wine_glass:
    Dick Wall
    @dickwall
    ha missed that - I'd settle for just doing another episode ever ;-)
    Salar Rahmanian
    @softinio
    anything we can do to help with scalawags?
    Dick Wall
    @dickwall
    If you can find a way to make us all independently wealthy so we have time to do it, that would be awesome ;-)
    Seth Tisue
    @SethTisue
    it would actually be awesome if someone with at least some minimal web skillz could figure out why all the YouTube links at http://scalawags.tv broke a while back. the code for the site is at https://github.com/scalawags/scalawags.github.com
    nafg
    @nafg
    @SethTisue what's broken about them?
    seems to work for me...
    You mean the flash thingy?
    Salar Rahmanian
    @softinio
    we need a scala podcast chaps! comeback!
    Philip Durbin
    @pdurbin
    Yeah, it's good and it may be the only Scala podcast. At least there's also https://www.functionalgeekery.com
    k0ala
    @k0ala
    I'd also love to see new scalawags episodes! Obviously the wealth issue raised by @dickwall is tricky -- maybe you could open a patreon account for the podcast.
    Adam Bell
    @agbell
    Excuse the plug, but scalawag fans might appreciate my new podcast CoRecursive: https://corecursive.com/ . I have an episode with Debasish Ghosh on domain modeling in scala coming out soon, and several scala episodes already in the queue.
    It does not have the same zany style as scalawags, nor a clever pun, nor the use of pirate hats.
    nafg
    @nafg
    @agbell nice :)
    What's your connection with software engineering daily?
    It seems like your first few were there but not newer one?
    Adam Bell
    @agbell
    Hey @nafg I was doing some guest hosting for Jeff at sed. Was a lot of fun, so decided to spin out own podcast. You are correct that first 3 episodes from my podcast originally were part of software engineering daily.
    nafg
    @nafg
    @agbell it's none of my business why you chose so, but I feel like being part of se daily gives Scala more visibility
    Adam Bell
    @agbell
    Yeah, true, I may do some more at sedaily in the future, but wanted to try my own thing and Jeff has his own directions he wants to go in.
    nafg
    @nafg
    Meaning Jeff isn't interested in a ton of Scala content?
    Rob Norris
    @tpolecat
    Haven't seen any traffic over here in a while. I will use the opportunity to register my desire to see more Scalawags. You brought a silliness to the Scala community that I miss.
    Salar Rahmanian
    @softinio
    @agbell funny coincidence I came across your podcast and subscribed to it earlier in the week😀
    Glad to see more Scala podcasts so this is great
    Adam Bell
    @agbell
    @softinio Thanks!
    @tpolecat would love to do an interview with you. If you are interested I can email you
    Rob Norris

    Dick Wall
    @dickwall
    I'm adding the podcast to my catcher. Nice to have someone else doing the work ;-)
    @tpolecat I miss it too, but the time, the time....
    I do keep thinking if I could just make the effort, but there's always other stuff going on
    maybe when I finish updating all of the training materials again for the online courses there will be more time
    Rob Norris
    @tpolecat
    Yeah everybody seems very busy these days.
    Dick Wall
    @dickwall
    well, if one of my startup stocks suddenly goes stratospheric, that would change the landscape. Hasn't happened yet though :-)
