Yes, but those properties are available, you can do .INTEGER(10).UNSIGNED.ZEROFILL
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
Where is it doing that bit? Does seem to mention the encoding at all. I imagine that is in the connection string.. I don't see that in your screenshot.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
That's why I'm telling you sequelize-auto generates incomplete Schema model
this is for another table. but you will get the idea of how things should be defined
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
got it :).. I wonder it if does any better at pulling properties if you connect to mssql.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
with charset, collate and extra properties
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
did you comment on the repo?
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
sequelize-auto -o './models' -d mantis_live_dev -h localhost -u root -p 3306 -x * -e mysql
This is what I did to generate them all
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
really want to try that right now :).. but I'm on other stuff :(.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
with MySQL 5.7, I'm able to register an Admin account
but I keeps getting error unauthorized access. I think user privilege or something is wrong with user module
:(
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
MySQL permissions give me fits.. sometimes for local dev I just give it the broadest permissions to try things out.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
No, I mean register on the SEANJS
MYSQL and NodeJS have nothing to stop me
with MySQL 5.7, I'm able to register an Admin account on my cloned SEANJS app
but I keeps getting error unauthorized access. I think user privilege or something is wrong with user module
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
Ah. so you have it running but it won't authorize you. Strange.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
:worried:
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
I just started up my default install and made an admin user and it logged me in.. but I have mine connected to mssql.
But it seems to be working
Ok, I'm logged in but I get unauthorized access on the article type.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
and on Admin tab too
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
I'll have to dig into it.. have to bail for the moment. Good chatting with you.. I'll try and remember to come back and tell you if I figure it out.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
Ok

Please check redis. If redis is not installed or not working then this problem comes. As i mentioned before sean uses redis to save session information.
Trevor Green
@Trevogre
@asifiqbal84 oh.. right. I had that installed. I'll check that first. Thanks.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
@Trevogre @asifiqbal84 Yes, stupid me, during yo installation, I wrote 'myApp_redis' for redis db name.
so, changing that to 0 in database: process.env.REDIS_DATABASE || 0,
helps fixing the prob
But on Admin page, I'm not able to change/update non-admin member lastname
Edit your own profile works but Update non-admin member doesn't
That's yo installation version. Now, I'm going to test with git repo version (I believe cloning the git gives me the latest SEAN)
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
by the way, the log for that Update failure is here : https://gist.github.com/zenithtekla/74b6e9bdb03deb03d6b90bd2918facaa
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
Okay, I tested with the git-cloned version and things seem working fine.

error: An error occured: %j SequelizeDatabaseError: ER_B LOB_CANT_HAVE_DEFAULT: BLOB, TEXT, GEOMETRY or JSON column ' roles' can't have a default value
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
yes, I opened an issue on sequelize-auto repo (not SEANjs) as that issue belongs to their Git repo.
I now run the SEANjs on Ubuntu comp and still get the same An error occured: %j SequelizeDatabaseError: ER_BLOB_CANT_HAVE_DEFAULT: BLOB, TEXT, GEOMETRY or JSON column 'roles' can't have a default value
ERROR that really is itching.
ZeTek
@zenithtekla
That was with my checkout from the latest SEANjs.git
On using SEAN_yo (created by yeoman), I still have the same error (report on Aug 11)
