hoeggi
@hoeggi
just tried to override android:process=":.sensorberg" for everything i found here https://github.com/sensorberg-dev/android-sdk/blob/master/android-sdk/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml but still don't get any events into my broadcast receiver
do you have any sample apps that works with 1.0 i could check?
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
We will release the samples apps with the full release of the SDK
hoeggi
@hoeggi
could you help me and look at this log http://pastebin.com/cQAaA64y ? i got it working sometimes. but i only got a notification when i first installed the app. after that i just don't get any broadcasts in my receiver.
i have setup my beacon to trigger on enter and exit and send once every minute. do you have any idea what i'm doing wrong or would it help to get more logs?
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
how do you trigger an exit?
do you turn off the beacon?
because you need to be away from the beacon in the foreground for 30 seconds
in the background for up to 6 minutes since the SDK is sleeping

@wberger
hi
there seems to be no iOS specific room, may I ask questions regarding the iOS SDK as well?
hoeggi
@hoeggi
i just reinstalled my app while having my beacon next to my device, this fires a broadcast immediately after the app starts. i cancel't the notification and kept the app in foreground but put the beacon out of range for about 20m.
after i got back i saw the same log as posted befor and no broadcast. the sdk logs "starting to resolve request" but nothing more.
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
20m is propably not enough
can you try by removing the battery
can you remove the suppression time (1 minute) for testing?
hoeggi
@hoeggi
hello again
i think i found another issue in the sdk. every time a beacon action is received onStartCommand in Sensorberg Service is called. the broadcast receiver are queried from the manifest and newly registered. but they are never unregistered. so by now i have around 30 receivers for com.sensorberg.android.PRESENT_ACTION registered.
should i file an issue for that on github?
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
hi hoeggi, we fixed this issue in 1.0.1
but always file bugs :)
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
There is a new release 1.0. 2 :)
hoeggi
@hoeggi
hello
quick question, do you know of any problems with samsung devices?
i have everything working on htc, lg etc. but on samsung s4 and s5 it's just completely random if it works or not
after install i get a notification but when i cancel it it's just random if it reappears or not while on my other devices it's just around one minute and the notification reappears.
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
We can´t of course have all samsung devices in the office, but 50% of our devices are samsung and we have not seen those problems. Can you say which Android OS versions are affected? In Android 4 Samsung still had it´s own custom bluetooth stack. With Android 5.0 we believe this is no more the case
hoeggi
@hoeggi
it's 5.0.1 on a Galaxy S4 but i don't think it's a problem with the bluetooth stack because sensorberg logs show that the beacons are seen and it also tries to resolve them
maybe this helps:

Falko Richter
@falkorichter
Thank you for this. could you send a quick email to support@sensorberg.com with your sensorberg email adress, the beacon ID in question and the name
then we can investigate it
we´re fixing some other problems with the resolver, this might be related
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
@hoeggi we resolved a bug in the resolver that was responsible for all kinds of actions not being sent out
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
welcome @sensorberg-mark
hoeggi
@hoeggi
hello again, first off all, i got everything working by now. so thx for your help.
and one more question, is it possible to link a beacon action i receive on my device to a campaing? with the action uuid or something like that?
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
the action uuid is unique and identical in the app and in the backend.
hoeggi
@hoeggi
but can i access the uuid from the backend?
or link it somehow to the actions i receive?
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
Falko Richter
@falkorichter
when the frontend fetches a campaign https://connect.sensorberg.com/api/audience/read?id=<your campaign> you can see the action ID as well.
