re: tile builder. for me, the more “realistic” a tile is, the more distracting it is. because if it’s relistic, then i expect it to be an accurate represntation of what i’m doing. if it’s abstract shapes, then i don’t have that expectation. what it comes down to is i need one thing from a dungeon map: a more-or-less accurate representation of distance and path. what i don’t need: rocks and moss.
