    hey i have a type noobish question
    in https://github.com/chaijs/chai-jquery
    they use $ signs alot
    and from my understanding theyre syntactical sugar
    but in this specific instance what do they mean
    for example,
    $('.name').should.be.hidden;
    expect($('.year')).to.be.hidden;
    i assume its the function name?
    Sajjad Hossain
    @sajjadhossain
    @sethvincent
    Martin Heidegger
    @martinheidegger
    Yes.
    Its a function name
    Sajjad Hossain
    @sajjadhossain
    ok thanks
        .click('button[type=submit]', function errorNotVisible() {
            var assert = chaijq.assert,
                expect = chaijq.expect,
                should = chaijq.should(); // Note that should has to be executed
            expect(errorNotVisible('.ve-error-message')).to.be.hidden;
        })
    does that seem ok?
    Martin Heidegger
    @martinheidegger
    .hidden()
    Sajjad Hossain
    @sajjadhossain
    ah
    Martin Heidegger
    @martinheidegger
    what is hidden? :)
    expect(…).to.be(true)
    The standard chai api doesn’t support “hidden"
    Sajjad Hossain
    @sajjadhossain
    chai jquery
    Martin Heidegger
    @martinheidegger
    ah, oky.
    probably oky. -_-
    without the braces ...
    Sajjad Hossain
    @sajjadhossain
    parenthesis u mean?
    Martin Heidegger
    @martinheidegger
    yes
    ah… my english
    Sajjad Hossain
    @sajjadhossain
    no prob, ur js is more valuable than eng ;)
    Martin Heidegger
    @martinheidegger
    in chai-jquery .hidden seems to be enough.
