Recently deployed sexigraf and trying to figure out a graph time issue. I can only get data to show if I set time picker to last 12 hours. I am in EST and changed the local_settings.py file to America/New_York times one and still not showing correctly. Any help/ recommendations greatly appreciated

Any graph, I am working with the default graphs right now and trying to get the time correct before I start working on custom graphs

'datapoints outside time range' is all I see on graphs until I change timepicker to last 12 hours

Should I try changing that to EST and see if graphs show correctly?

And you shouldn't change the time config of the appliance since it's all configured in UTC
The NTP config of the ESX running is correct right ?

could you redeploy the appliance to give a fresh start ?
you can also try to change the behavior of grafana after that
you just need to save any predefined dashboard to edit the settings and change the timezone source
browser or UTC
it's browser per default

I previously tried a fresh install but no difference. I did save a couple predefined dashboards and the settings are set to browser (I would think thats the setting I want). Maybe I need to comment out the time_zone line in local_settings.py file back to defaults? That and a static ip is all I have changed

you need to flush the wisper file too, that's why a fresh appliance is more easy
BTW the UTC time you gave me is wrong

i think this is the problem

I installed ntpdate and that updated the time for me. I think the graphs are working correctly now
thank you so much
