Sorry but.. I use and love shaali since Dec 2012 and I never think about add plugins.. why are "we" spending time in this feature? This is the most important issue to solve?

@nicolasdanelon There have been lots of bug reports/feature requests to add items that are not desirable in Shaarli's core (integration with external services, HTML/markdown/wtf parsers) because it's a link sharing solution.

These features are wanted by many users, and we should provide a way to add these without altering the main code (which breaks the upgrade path). So there must be room to add third-party code to Shaarli, which is currently a very simple addition to the code, using RainTPL templates in this pull request: shaarli/Shaarli#129. I encourage you to read shaarli/Shaarli#14 and the linked issues.

why are "we" spending time in this feature?
Because everyone scratches his own itch. Everyone is free to work/not work on what he/she considers important. That's what Pull Requests are for :)

(as a side note I was opposed to having archive.org integration in Shaarli's core - third-party service - and this should be a plugin instead)
