Hi guys, I need some help. I recently installed Shaarli Stable version, and I can login, logout and load pages, but can't add links. When I click add link button I get '403 - Forbidden'. Permissions: folders = 0755; files = 0644.

Hi @JMG_uimaraes_twitter
It seems likely that your webserver user/group doesn't have appropriate access to some of the Shaarli resources - see https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli/wiki/Shaarli-configuration
namely, it needs to be able to write to the cache, data, pagecache and tmpdirectories , and especially the data/datastore.php file (in case you modified access permissions after browsing the configuration page)

Hi @virtualtam . My server needs that the"default" user should be my cPanel user, and its set this way. WP, CMS Made Simple and Zerobin are set this way and they areworking. Setting my permissions like I did (folders = 0755; files 0644) or even (folders = 0775; files 0664) didn't solved my problem. Am I missing something?

hmm, which Shaarli version are you using?

also, were the following files created after installing?

  • data/datastore.php
  • data/config.php or data/config.json.php

you may also find more some logs under data/log.txt if access is denied by Shaarli, but the more interesting source would be the HTTP server's
AFAIK Shaarli itself does not return 403 errors, so it could be related to how the HTTP server is configured

Hi all, I just found the API docs (https://shaarli.github.io/api-documentation/).
But I could not find out which file to call to get results, and what I need to activate to enable API.
Can somebody tell me how to? http://myserver/shaarli/api/links/... ?

Hi @gsantner , the API is not active yet, see shaarli/Shaarli#616

Aha, thanks for the info
Please do note this on the API Documentation also, there isn't any word on this there - whats useable and what not :)

Hi @virtualtam . I installed the stable version, downloaded from github shaarli/shaarli. data/datastore.php and data/config.php were created by installer.
Also, datastore.php is a single line file file

your configuration and file/dir permissions should be OK then; is there a URL rewrite module enabled / used by the web server ?

I'm not familiar w/ cPanel, it seems to use Apache HTTPD to serve files though, so maybe you have a way to see the access and error logs for your websites

I found this on php info: url_rewriter.tags no value a=href, area=href, frame=src, input=src, form=,fieldset=
I don't know CP either. I'll ask the help desk how to check logs

yup, this may be the best way if you're not familiar with troubleshooting web hosting / how the server is configured ;-)
once you have more detailed info, feel free to open a new issue at https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli/issues
