khanly
@khanly
what do I do with the build folder
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
Deploy it.
khanly
@khanly
how
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
There is a website in there.
khanly
@khanly
ftp or use vs to publish into the hosting account at myasp.net
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
That's up to you.
Either or.
Wait
Ftp
Does myasp.NET support running virtual Linux machines?
How do you plan on deploying the virtual?
khanly
@khanly
ftp everything in build folder to my account at myasp.net
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
Yes
khanly
@khanly
inside the virtualbox, is there a working skimur? if so, how do I access it from url
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
There isn't. Your website will access its services behind the scenes.
The virtual contains the required background services.
khanly
@khanly
the virtualbox is on my laptop and I upload the files in build folder to myasp.net. how will myasp.net access the virtualbox on my laptop
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
It won't. They must be hosted under the same infrastructure.
Communicating via the IP 192.168.10.200
khanly
@khanly
after I uploaded everything in the build folder
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
I'm not sure.
No matter what though, it won't work if your virtual isn't deployed.
khanly
@khanly
how do you deploy it
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
It isn't at a point where that is easy.
Unless your familiar with postgres and rabbitnw.
khanly
@khanly
:/
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
It will be easier if you simple host/rent a virtual Windows machine.
Then you can run vagrant in it to make it easier.
khanly
@khanly
rent a windows vps?
which company do you recommend that has all those packages like asp.net 4.5 and etc
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
Azure or Amazon. If you have a Windows virtual, you can put whatever you need on it.
khanly
@khanly
khanly
@khanly
how do I test locally to see if it works on my laptop
khanly
@khanly
or will any windows vps be fine as I would rather pay fixed amount than per hour;y rate
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
Any windows vps will do.
khanly
@khanly
hello
khanly
@khanly
blob
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
if you access that github url via the browser, does it work? I suspect you don't have access to GitHub.
khanly
@khanly
When I entered the github url in Vagrantfile from my windows vps, it downloads the file
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
Not sure then.
khanly
@khanly
it doesn't work for me. if you can figure it out let me know
khanly
@khanly
Just an update: I have tried it from two windows vps and one aws windows ec2, and they all output the same as the screenshot above. I believe future installer will have the same issue like this.
Paul Knopf
@pauldotknopf
Hey guys, just an update. We are running live with asp.net 5!
Paul Knopf

I came across a lot of very good ideas for fighting spam here...

@haltyl
hi, i just found skimur on github, and i was wondering if there is a place for admins and mods to manage and control the site?
Adam The Glowchu
@Adam24
RIP Skimur
