The primary implementation offered of Solid is written in Javascript based on Node.js. It should run on versions later than version 8. It is being developed on Github and is released with the liberal MIT license to NPM.

This guys is wrong road you choose. use shit Node.js in so strong project.

Putting Solid on SAFE on #Web30 day :-)

I have solid-filemanager working on #SAFEnetwork. The only change is to substitute a different version of solid-auth-client.

Now working on improvements to emulation of LDP on SAFE.

im now putting soild on all my devices and getting my friends to do the same over ubuntu, the web as a p2p network file system, and extensible to all other internet proteocls including ssh, solid in a nutshell -- a grass roots operating system to take back the internet

@sideshowtom thanks. I'm amazed how easy this last bit has been. Spent most of the day fighting a side issue with webpack devtools. Also a couple of bugs in solid-filemanager and possibly NSS (need to investigate those).

Great stuff @solid-pay. I'm not keen on putting NSS on all my devices, but I will watch with interest. Keep us updated :smile:

which roughly translated, imho, means, use solid ( which is the web pro version :) ), write apps, connect to people, be creative with permissionless innovation, let the intended decentralized nature of the web live side by side, with the specialized part, giving people choice

There's certainly a lot of people helping out, and one thing I love with this community; a lot of people interested and eager to participate, to figure out together where to take all of this

But we also need good mechanisms in place to incentivize people to choose technologies that are for the betterment of all (which I believe Solid is)

So let's see what we can manage to create that ^_^
