I think https://github.com/solid/solid-apps is your best bet for an index of Solid apps

hi everyone, I was looking for append content to a .ttl file on my pods and I'm having problems... I'm using solid-file-client, but updateFile() method just destroy old file and creates a new one. Any idea of how to resolve this?
Mark Hughes (happybeing/theWebalyst)
@happybeing
I think at the LDP protocol level, PATCH is how you would do this (but might be wrong!). As for a 'method' that would depend on the library you are using - which is it? Append might just not be supported, in which case writing the file again (with the extra bits) might be the only way.

@enriquefdez5
I'll try that solution, thank you very much!
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
@enriquefdez5 currently solid-file-client does not have an append method, but it's a good idea and I'll add one. In the meantime, you can use readFIle() to get the current content, use string concat to add your content, then updateFile() to replace the original.
Or you can use solid-file-client's raw fetch() along with PATCH.

@Mitzi-Laszlo, are Solid Opening Hours always on https://zoom.us/j/334489790 or is it a new link every week?
BTW, hi everyone, I've been lurking and going through the docs for a couple of weeks. Excited to be part of this community!

You can find the draft agenda for the next W3C Solid Community Group call on https://www.w3.org/community/solid/wiki/Meetings Let me know if there is anything you would like to add or modify. The Solid Spec is discussed at the W3C Solid Community Group call which happens biweekly and is open for anyone to join. You can find out more on the community repo.

Hello guys, I am looking for a way to contribute to the project. I am from Brazil and I am doing my final paper and I'd like to write and build something about Solid
The requirements are that I need to write a paper about the problem and I can build something(program). The second requirement is not mandatory
Mitzi László
@Mitzi-Laszlo
Bem-vindo ao Solid @wellingtonx Perhaps you'd find the section on how to contribute useful https://github.com/solid/community
@michielbdejong has some thoughts on a Solid Chat app, perhaps would have some ideas about a project

this sample: https://github.com/Inrupt-inc/generator-solid-angular have issue with new version solid-auth-client
Must refresh page to get pod data after login when using new version solid-auth-client, but it's ok with old version solid-auth-client
Is someone know this issue?

Any UK academics here? I need to add my article on ”Digital Sovereignty” published here http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-2165/ to https://www.researchfish.net/ . One has to search databases of articles that various repositories already have indexed as I see it. But searching those repositories is like using an SQL interface with no reasoning on fragmented data...

Dear all, today I can announce a first event I've been organizing. It's about Solid & decentralized web, but also on virual identity, privacy and using GDPR to leverage this.
If you happen to be in Belgium on April 11 and 12: feel free to join https://www.pwc.be/en/events-courses/2019/data-democracy-hackathon.html

@konobi that’s cool will check it. fwiw we’ve done a bit of refactoring on solid-react-sdk and incorporated hooks where applicable :)

Hello, can we use the terminal (instead of a web navigator) to navigate into the solid pod of someone ?
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
@kylak yes you can use https://github.com/jeff-zucker/solid-auth-cli which has the same interface as solid-auth-client but works in the terminal
You can use it directly or with rdflib.js or you can use it with a higher-level library like https://github.com/jeff-zucker/solid-file-client or with an interactive terminal-based shell with https://github.com/jeff-zucker/solid-shell
kylak
@kylak
@jeff-zucker Nice I'll try so thanks a lot !

@Psycop_twitter perhaps add your Solid Event to https://github.com/solid/community/blob/master/solid-events.md so that others can find it and that it gets mentioned during Solid World

Hi Everyone,
Was anybody here working toward Legal Entities (e.g. companies) representation in WebID Profile Documents? We are considering using WebID for companies on our http://lei.info platform (short term goal) and Solid platform (long term goal). We could apply what FOAF allows for, but before we do so, I'm looking for any previous work in that space.
