    @Mitzi-Laszlo Interaction designer/information architect/strategist here. Do we have a vision, user stories, use cases going somewhere? I'd love to contribute to those. TIA!
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    @FirecatSue Thank for offering to contribute, wonderful. There have been notes and I am currently thinking about how to combine those contributions. Curious to hear how you would go about it. Happy to set up a call too if you'd like to chat over the phone. Let me know when would be convenient.

    @Mitzi-Laszlo A call would be great! I'm in US-Central time zone (UTC-6) and new to Solid so feverishly researching a way to get in touch. Advice welcome.
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Welcome to Solid :) I’m in CET time so our overlap is in your morning, let me know which day next week would be most convenient for you and drop me a private message with the best email for me to send you the call details to.
    What process do you usually use in your profession? What information would you need to start and what would be the milestones along the way?
    Stacie Arellano
    @Metahari
    @Mitzi-Laszlo Monthly status of project, info on if updates/release might hit the inrupt and solid community pods.
    Susan Price
    @FirecatSue

    For a few years, I've been dreaming (literally) of what I think of as a "Human API" - a brokering/control layer between an individual's awareness, the systems they interface with, and our data wake - the single most complex and necessary UX project I can imagine. Now here comes Solid.

    Re: processes. I run vision/strategy sprints, we create principles, goals, questions backlogs, sketches, storyboards, user stories, high-level roadmaps. @timbl has provided a good foundation for the vision, but getting some relatable, visual, storyboarded examples would jump start productive conversations. User stories could serve as a bridge between the eager design community and the developers.

    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    @FirecatSue storyboards sound intriguing and can very much imagine they would make a great bridge. Do you have an example of a storyboard for a similar concept that you could share? What extra information would you need to create one for Solid?
    @Metahari what would be an ideal Solid status report that you would have in mind? Are there specific elements that you would find helpful? Perhaps you could share a status report of another project that you consider a good example?
    @Metahari I’ll be sure to relay suggestions about inrupt to the inrupt team.
    Stacie Arellano
    @Metahari
    Heh.
    Ok, so the dat project does a pretty good job with things
    https://blog.datproject.org/ here is their blog.
    here is an update from a while back https://blog.datproject.org/2017/10/20/oct-recently/
    they also try to keep their documentation in general, up to date, via github https://github.com/datproject/docs
    to start, addressing FAQs that have come up since last fall might be nice. but other things might get featured too, like UI updates (planned or rolling out), interesting new apps, or significant new pod hosts.
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Wonderful, thank you for sharing. Have you made any notes on documentation around Solid using these examples?
    Stacie Arellano
    @Metahari
    I'm not sure if you remember, but last fall I was trying to help with some basic info, faqs and resources https://metahari.solid.community/public/SolidAdventures.html
    I was hoping to see some updates since then, but can't seem to find them. There seems to be a new solid-server version? but I don't think it's deployed to Community, (but not sure) and no clue if it has been deployed to Inrupt.
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Yes of course, these resources are great!
    Stacie Arellano
    @Metahari
    Even having something as simple as This month 5 projects in the solid repo had X significant gains or changes. would be useful
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    @kjetilk would be the best to ask questions about the server
    Stacie Arellano
    @Metahari
    it doesn't matter what the specifics are, you have no centralized data searchable for people looking for official information
    so... in my personal user story, As a web developer/solid enthusiast, I would like to know what the latest changes to the solid projects are so I can either utilize or upgrade my projects.
    Stacie Arellano
    @Metahari
    Tool updates / community updates / new resources
    Kjetil Kjernsmo
    @kjetilk
    Yeah, I think that's a very reasonable thing to ask, @Metahari . I tend to think that it is the job of a package management tool to expose those records, but I'm rather new to the npm ecosystem, so I don't understand how they solve that, or if they solve it at all
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    @Metahari - @bourgeoa made a great wiki that you might enjoy https://www.bourgeoa.ga/solid-wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page @TeodoraPetkova has also made some great answers to FAQs on the solid forum, for example https://forum.solidproject.org/t/how-to-change-the-sharing-settings-for-a-resource/114 which are great. Perhaps you'd be interested in updating the Solid wikipedia entry? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_(web_decentralization_project)

    Feedback on https://solid.inrupt.com/docs/installing-running-nss: I would change the following text

    from :

    As root, you can now install the server globally:

    to:

    Now, you can now install the server globally: [...] If the command above does not work, try sudo [...].

    Or, if you really should install Solid as root:

    As root, you can now install the server globally:
    sudo npm install -g solid-server

    hi :) this is where I should provide feedback for https://solid.inrupt.com/docs/manipulating-ld-with-rdflib?
    Vincent
    @Vinnl_gitlab
    @brodavi @Mitzi-Laszlo can bring up changes there with inrupt, so you can post it in whatever channel's they're in, or send a direct message

    @tomhgmns
    Hey all, I just noticed that you cannot edit your own post on forum.solidproject after a while. This could be useful for me because I want to keep my post about our webseries up to date with new videos instead of posting a new thread. Would it be possible to adjust this setting?
    Justin Bingham
    @justinwb
    hey @tomhgmns - looking now
    based on your user’s trust level, you should be able to edit your own posts, so it’s likely specific to the post itself. can you link me to the one you’re trying to edit for troubleshooting
    tomhgmns
    @tomhgmns

    Thanks Justin. This is one of the posts I’m talking about:
    https://forum.solidproject.org/t/solid-in-short-a-webseries-about-solid-for-business-people/3858

    I think I can only edit a post for a short while after I have made the initial post. I cannot seem to edit it now.

    Justin Bingham
    @justinwb
    yeah there’s a setting on edit time allowed after initial post. i just bumped it up a bit - try now @tomhgmns
    tomhgmns
    @tomhgmns
    Thanks!
    But it still doesn’t seem to work :(. Can you maybe get rid of the "edit time allowed” entirely?
    Justin Bingham
    @justinwb
    @tomhgmns looks like the edit time was contingent on user trust level. i bumped that up as well. try now
    if that doesn’t work we can look at removing the limit altogether
    tomhgmns
    @tomhgmns
    Yes, now it seems to work! Thanks!
    Justin Bingham
    @justinwb
    great :slight_smile:
