    @joeblynch for sure! I also got the recording of my talk in my email today - I'm going to do a little editing and get it up within the next week.

    @joeblynch
    awesome, thank you!

    I gave a lightning talk yesterday at a blockchain conference about my Solid app. It was fun to point out the different meanings of "decentralization" in Solid vs Blockchain :D You can find the slides here https://speakerdeck.com/noeldemartin/showcasing-an-app-that-uses-the-solid-protocol-for-decentralized-storage
    @travis That sounds great :) I'm looking forward to seeing your talk.

    Fabulous, I made an issue to dump links to add to the site solid/solidproject.org#154

    First Thursday of the month is next week! In which cities are Solid Events confirmed?
    Noel De Martin
    @NoelDeMartin
    @Mitzi-Laszlo I didn't know if I should add this one since it was a lightning talk at an event with many other talks, but I guess I will :) let me handle the PR and all that

    Hello. I’ve just created an issue in order to add my talk at the School of Computer Science (University Of Oviedo) on 19th February in This Week in Solid. You can find the slides, recorded session and further details solid/solidproject.org#159. Thanks again to @Mitzi-Laszlo for the goodies received despite the fact package didn’t arrive on time to share with the students! Hope to share with them in future sessions :-)

    I´ll give a quick talk about the Solid project & we´ll showcase our PMSD (Pod Management System Demo from empathy.co) next Wednesday 19th March into a local community of developers. The meetup details are already published. I hope to attract the interest of developers and encourage them to collaborate :-)

    Hello
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Hi :)
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Hi Solid Event organisers, considering the social distancing procedures around the covid-19 pandemic perhaps it's an idea to move the Solid Events online. Considering we have been trying to sync up to the first Thursday of the month, how about we aim for an online Solid Event on the 2nd April. If you have any upcoming speakers planned, it would be good to know if they would be interested in doing an online webinar of the content they were planning.
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    Agree with your approach @Mitzi-Laszlo Indeed the organizers of the meetup I was going to participate already cancelled the event (and all public events). The situation here in Spain is not easy and the government have declared the state of alarm. So people are working remotely and staying at home
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Do you have the contact details (email?) of Sergio and Azahara @alexcorvis84?
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    I have just only Azahara :) Will share with you privately :)
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    sounds good, feel free to forward the Solid Events email to her and my email
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    @Mitzi-Laszlo Does the Solid event gonna be recorded?
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Yes, Solid World will be recorded. Just got the green light from the speakers.
    If you have any questions for the speakers this would be the place to ask them
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    Thank you!
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    @Mitzi-Laszlo Could you please kindly share the recorded session link once available? Thank you so much for hosting the Solid Event and thank you to all the participants sharing their contributions and progress. I really enjoyed it.
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Yes, will do, just putting together a bit of text to go with it, let me know if you'd like me to include any content or links
    Mychal Simka
    @MychalSimka_twitter
    Is the recording available yet?
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    I'll publish it along with This Week in Solid which usually is published at the end of the week.
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    Thanks for the update @Mitzi-Laszlo ! :-)
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    you're welcome :)
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    TWIS have not been published yet, right? In other hand I’ve found that next ‘Solid World’ Event would be on May, 7th :) (eventbrite event available)
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    It’s stuck in the review cycle, let me nudge the right people and see if I can shuffle it along to be published
    Alejandro Juan Garcia
    @alexcorvis84
    Thanks @Mitzi-Laszlo !
    Mitzi László
    @Mitzi-Laszlo
    Hello Solid Event organisers :) hope you are all well
    Seems like meeting in person is large groups is going to be tricky in the foreseeable future.
    The work you put into creating local groups interested in Solid is still very valuable so I've been thinking how to keep that momentum
    Solid World has been a good place for global meetings
    https://forum.solidproject.org/c/local-solid-communities there's also a new category on the forum for local conversations
    I'd encourage you to set up threads for cities and countries where you held events and share it with the attendees of the events

    https://www.meetup.com/Digital-Twin-Belgium/events/278274219/ our next SOLID event in Antwerp, Belgium 17th of june
    We'll be discussing how to gather a group of people who want to start adding data to their data pods and see what they can do with it collectively.

    @Vinnl_gitlab
    @Psycop_twitter Feel free to submit a PR to solidproject.org to list it: https://github.com/solid/solidproject.org/blob/main/pages/solid-events.md

    @Vinnl_gitlab you might want to give me more instructions ;-) never done such thing before.
    Vincent
    @Vinnl_gitlab
    @Psycop_twitter Ah sorry :) Are you familiar with Markdown? If you have a GitHub account and are signed in, you can click the pencil icon at the top right-hand side of the file, then you can add your event to the table, which you can then submit for approval.

    Alternatively or additionally, you can also email info@solidproject.org and ask them to include it in the next This Month in Solid newsletter
    Christophe
    @Psycop_twitter
    @Vinnl_gitlab : thanks... clicking the pencil was the missing element :)

    Next week Tuesday morning a Solid workshop will take place at SEMANTiCS Amsterdam from 9:00-12:30 hrs (CET). For more information, check: https://2021-eu.semantics.cc/satellite-events/solid-%E2%80%93-best-shape-your-data-make-data-sharing-easier. The SEMANTiCS conference is one of the leading European conferences on Semantic Technologies and AI and this year it is a hybrid event given the COVID-restrictions for which you can buy an on-site or online ticket and then register for the workshop with your ticket (at the bottom of the workshop page).
