Docker Hub made some changes, I think we should move the build process to GitHub actions, but I have still no time to look into it, sorry

Sorry my connection was bad. Have a great vacation with your family @bourgeoa. See you all next week!
And thank you all for the rdf lesson, that was very informative and interesting!

Is there a solid(os) view on secure messaging/chat, i.e. would you try to build group communications apps for Solid using Solid, vs adopt something like Matrix.org, XMPP?
Sharon Stratsianis
@SharonStrats
we do have chat, or do you mean something more @danbri:matrix.org
we haven't used it in a while, i think something happened, but I can't recall at this moment what it was
if you are asking in general by chance maybe you know about liqid.chat from @jaxoncreed
Sharon Stratsianis
@SharonStrats
it's a more advanced app, as in you can install it from google store or from the apple store as well as use it in your browser
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
Yes @danbri:matrix.org as @SharonStrats says, we have our own satndard for solid chat. It actually involved writing a chat file for each day, and giving everyone in the partipants group write access to that file, and then moving on to the next day. There are a few compatible solid chat apps, and it is built into solidos. you can create a new chat in any folder by clicking on the green plus and then the chat icon.
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
We have code to save gitter chat as solid chat, and I have some gitter chat arcived
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
@timbl - am I right that rdflib does not support putBack of json-ld? If I load a json-ld file, the store behaves correctly. If I putback the store, the file content becomes turtle
^^even if I specify content-type in the options to putBack
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
ok, the problem is that it looks for options.contentType not options["content-type"]. If I add that and https://github.com/linkeddata/rdflib.js/pull/325/files, it works, I'll prep a PR
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
Well found @jeff-zucker
Meanwhile I’ll trying to run gitter-solid on my server and it fails to load solid-auth-client
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
the new version should be trying to load solid-node-client
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
I just cloned the github repo and tested, works for me
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
My bad, yes it is looking for Error: Cannot find module '../solid-node-client/‘
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
oops, should omit the ../ I had that for testing will change that in the repo
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
I’m running it from a directory of things run aupmaticaly, not from the git working directory
Oh maybe I need to delete packack-lock.json
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
The import and require lines in gitter-solid.js and gitter-solid.mjs need to be changed to just look for solid-node-client without the ../
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
I see package-lock.json: "resolved": "https://registry.npmjs.org/solid-node-client/-/solid-node-client-2.0.2.tgz”,
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
But the import/require statements aren't looking there unless you change them to import/require 'solid-node-client' without ../ or other path info
it was my bad import/require
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
I see
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
I also recommend updating to solid-node-client 2.1.0
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
I’m on git
$ git pull
Already up to date.
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
just pushed changes to gitter-solid
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
Fixed the require
Now works better!
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
:thumbsup:
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
It does the gitter stuff .. when I ask it to store stuff in ~Download/test is says logged in as <file://Users/timbl/Downloads/test/profile/card#me>
and tried to read file://Users/timbl/Downloads/test/profile/card
hmmm
If I set up a dummy pod user theer where will it store the params of commands?
Jeff Zucker
@jeff-zucker
did it prompt you to create a ServerlessPod?
It should prompt you and then create a profile, settings etc. locally

Storing chats locally
If you wish to store your chats locally without installing a Solid server, you can supply a file: URL pointing to the local place you'd like the archive stored. Supply this either on the command-line as the third argument, of let the script prompt you for it.

The first time you specify this location you will be prompted to create a serverless Pod at that location and if you agree, a profile, preferences file, and other key pod resources will be created.

Once you have created a local pod, the process is the same as for storing the archive on a server - gitter-solid follows its nose from your webId, to your profile, to your preferences file, and then prompts you to add a gitterConfiguration file to your preferences.

You can edit your profile and other pod documents as needed and also reuse them for other local apps such as Data-Kitchen and solid-shell.

It should do all the setting up of the dummy pod automatically
It stores everything the same way it does on a pod - in a gitter config file pointed to in your dummy pod's settings
Tim Berners-Lee
@timbl
Ok I have that working in file space and now running in a loop.
Working well. It hasn’t make the top level index.ttl files for new chats it seems…
