Thanks @csarven, I really do appreciate your help with this, on all levels, and the agenda LGTM. I already feel better now, both personally and about the process/progress. Thank you & see you Friday!

As said in the meeting just now, we'll have a meeting some time next week specifically about solid-contrib/test-suite#142. @edwardsph what would be a good day/time for you? Others welcome to join too, the more the merrier! :)
@edwardsph I have a preference for Monday if possible

I'm afraid Monday doesn't work for me but those at the meeting are all EU/UK so perhaps Tuesday, Thursday or Friday morning? Anytime before 12:30 CET works for me.

OK let's make it Thursday 9am UTC (11am my time, 10am your time), same jitsi as today. Thanks!

Hi there, I am facing an issue on running 'web-access-control-tests'. I want to use CSS for running tests. I cloned 'community-server' from github then comment out line 38 of VerifySolidAccessToken.js from node_modules finally run the server.
Michiel de Jong
@michielbdejong
@mrvahedi68 let's look at it together this afternoon!
MohammadReza vahedi
@mrvahedi68
When I run ./run-against-css, all tests failed and on the server logs I got authorization error for reading and writing acl
Great!, Thanks. @michielbdejong

@michielbdejong
@csarven are you available for a chat to try and find a common viewpoint regarding implementer consent/involvement in our reporting process? I think it's the last big issue to resolve before we can draft our charter.
Michiel de Jong
@michielbdejong

@mrvahedi68

I got authorization error for reading and writing acl

Ah, that will happen if you run that script twice without restarting CSS inbetween

MohammadReza vahedi
@mrvahedi68
Yes, It's true. For first time i got timeout on WAC side.
Michiel de Jong
@michielbdejong
@mrvahedi68 that timeout may be because you didn't wait for CSS to be up and running, or maybe because your laptop is running too many tests in parallel?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
I've updated draft comment at https://github.com/solid/test-suite-panel/issues/5#issuecomment-1129987799 . I'd like to keep the draft status while we refine/clarify until the due date. I've factored in the feedback (as best as I could. Click on the "edited" for revision details/diff.

Great, thanks! Especially for updating point 6. Yes, I think this all looks OK now if we put it together.

I must test that side you says. It's good point.

We have a scheduled review meeting on 2022-05-30 (Monday). I understand that it is a holiday at some locations. Would the next day, 2022-05-31 (Tuesday) work for everyone?

Would it be possible in the future to add tests which are not core spec, but might be usefull addons to also be tested? Would that fit in the scope of the testing framework? For example the concurrency tests could fit into that category.
I am also thinking about the redirection options that we have been working on in the SOLID migrator.

@michielbdejong
@sjoertrix:utwente.io yes, absolutely, and that's also what we do already. The ones that are not required are between (brackets), like indeed the concurrency tests you mention, and yes, we should totally add tests for Solid migrator protocol support!

@edwardsph I just ran the test harness on https://stage.graphmetrix.net - a really impressive number of tests now with excellent feedback in the report! Working to fix the issues found...
Pete Edwards
@edwardsph
@gibsonf1 Thanks - glad it's of value. If you find anything that you don't think is a server fault, please let me know and we'll investigate the tests too.

@edwardsph Is it possible to run the test-harness on a localhost server? I just tried by changing the server location in the .env file and pointed to it from the .sh, but it didn't seem to work

New test report on CSS (v4.0.1) solid-contrib/solidservers.org#6
Will give it 14 days for review and comments by anyone interested - in particular of course CSS team members, after that, these new findings can be updated on https://solidservers.org (that currently still displays findings about CSS v1.0.0).
Will also create a separate bug reports (using curl steps-to-reproduce) to the CSS issue tracker, following their guidelines.
@mrvahedi68 thanks for finding these issues! Let's discuss further in solid-contrib/web-access-control-tests#51
Michiel de Jong
@michielbdejong
we found that CSS v4.0.1 passes all known tests for Solid spec v0.9, except:
Michiel de Jong
@michielbdejong
@ylebre @bourgeoa @gibsonf1 headsup: although the discussion is still open, it now seems likely that we found a bug in the WAC tests where the behaviour they test is too strict for resource creation with PUT and PATCH. The spec discussion is solid/web-access-control-spec#105 (I also tagged you there).
The changing tests can be seen in https://github.com/solid-contrib/web-access-control-tests/pull/53/files .
We'll wait for two weeks before changing anything in the tests, to allow for discussion. Then, if the spec issue is resolved as 'option 2' we'll change the WAC tests and your servers will start failing unless you make the same change in your code. Let me know if you want to coordinate a change process for this, and/or if @mrvahedi68 or I can help you run the changed tests against your changed code.
Yvo Brevoort
@ylebre
thanks, should be an easy fix for us if/when the change lands

Approved, great work @csarven!
I marked the tests that are affected by solid/web-access-control-spec#105 as disputed, so both behaviours are accepted now.

Tagged v6.0.0 of the CRUD tests and v7.0.0 of the WAC tests in git. Building the Docker images now.

Report testing latest ESS on Inrupt Pod Spaces for Solid 0.9 compliance, we found what looks like a failure to support text/n3 PATCH requests. Please discuss here: solid-contrib/solidservers.org#7. PR will stay open for discussion for 14 days.
