    Thanks so much everyone who has joined. I forgot to mention when I gave the talk that everyone is welcome even outside our community of women, so if you know anyone that will be interested please send them here :).

    This is such an interesting topic. I really thought about it recently with Wordle. It was the first time in a long time that I visited a site with zero tracking and no behind the scenes data collection. It was such a pleasant experience. RIP now that NYT bought it but it planted the seed...

    I didn't hear about it. I only know a bit about the Brave browser

    Wordle is a game that started in America but I think now there are versions all over the world. The engineer just built a little game for him and his family and it went viral. Because the original intent was just for him an his family, there was no data collection and it's incredibly light and all front end.
    Do you remember "The Button" on Reddit? It's the same engineer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Button_(Reddit)

    @solid-akb oh I wish I had of seen that. It sounds great! The button experiment, pretty cool I hadn't heard of that.
    I am sorry I have been quiet, I had a few things going on last week. It was so great to see you all again and thanks for joining here. I have started my secondary research. I just went through the BBC presentation, very disappointed I missed it last women's world, it was just way too early for me. I will post here as I find interesting things in this research. I will start with the BBC presentation, even though we have it on the other channel so that everything is in one place.

    This very much aligns with some of my thinking. I love the app and the idea behind it. The idea I had with "you can do anything with anything" when it comes to your data was with a right click feature where on any data item a right click can be configured giving many different options of what you could do with that piece of data.
    An example is a contact in an address book. When you right click the contact you could say... share the contact with someone else, add the contact as a friend, chat with the contact if they have a webid, or even email them, add them to another group, etc.

    Here are the two explainer videos we have made on personal data, and personal data stores, which I’m allowed to share with you. Maybe this can be useful in an initial quest towards helping people understand the importance of privacy!
    Unfortunately I am not allowed to share the detailed slides on the user research we did last year, but the high level points are the ones summarised in my presentation, so that could also be a good starting point

    @JulietteCarter thanks!

    @JulietteCarter Thanks for sharing this, looks like an exciting vision! Is there any way I can get access to view the demo video of PDS that's in the slides @SharonStrats posted above?

    Hi All. Great to know that this channel exists as it's crucial to think about user experience for the Solid ecosystem as a whole. I actually heard about this room first in Solid World but again more recently in response to my forum post about the UX of logging in and I just wanted to mention that here to see if it sparked any interest.
