@blahah
yeah 118 should be OK, 128 is better
that will be a nice introduction to Meteor
Nic Luciano
@kn0ll
cool ill play with it, like i said dont hold me to it though :)
how did you come up with the idea for the app
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
no problem, just shout in here if you need any help
in November Bill Gates guest edited Wired magazine and wrote an article about his plan to improve the world
it was top of HN for a few days, and I commented saying that my PhD project is Gates funded and I have more ideas than time to work on them
I got like 50 emails offering help
Nic Luciano
@kn0ll
more ideas than time to work on them
thats how i came up with the same idea xD
not only do u have ideas u dont have time to work on, but someone somewhere wants to try to work on them :)
for portfolio or learning or whatever reason
are you going to try to raise money on it
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
sorry I have to meet with some colleagues
but briefly - we're not for profit but have plans that might need some investment
will be back later :)
Nic Luciano
@kn0ll
no problem, cheers!
Nic Luciano
@kn0ll
for 128 do you want something like https://github.com/copleykj/Mesosphere or just quick and dirty (check value, modify dom classes)
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
hmm it seems the issue number linking is broken in this room, because that issue ia actually #129!
for the one about ensuring all form elements are filled in, it would be great to have a coherent solution like Mesosphere

hey folks, Mike here from Gitter. Quick question on your issue issue: have you ever contacted GitHub support and asked them to manually delete an issue?
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
hey, no we've never done that
do you mean you're getting the off-by-one number back from the Github API?
Mike Bartlett
@mydigitalself
sort of, 1 sec, let me dig into your issues a bit and will explain
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
OK
Mike Bartlett
@mydigitalself
yeah...
solvers/solvers#72

Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
hey that's weird!
good catch :)
Mike Bartlett
@mydigitalself
:)
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
where the hell did that one go?!
Mike Bartlett
@mydigitalself
busy working on a fix, we made the assumption that we’d always get back all of the issues, clearly not
no idea, it could have been a PR and whoever created the PR contacted GitHub and asked them to delete the issue. there’s no other way you can delete an issue, so that’s the assumption we’re working on.
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
Ah I think I know what it was - there was a bot scanning all github accounts for TODOs and opening issues saying things like "What kind of lazy idiot does this??". It was there for a few hours and then disappeared, so I guess Github removed the account for abuse, and took all its issues along with it.
Mike Bartlett
@mydigitalself
ah ok, yeah that would explain it. anyway, should have a fix later today.
Richard Smith-Unna
@blahah
Awesome, thanks for getting to it so quickly
