    I created a simple Dockerfile to help with building Hack. Is this something that is of interest in the main repository?
    Caleb Maclennan
    @alerque
    I don't understand the desire for Dockerfiles for every twiddling little thing. Why spin up a full isolated Debian distro to git clone a repo and run a couple make commands? Why would I be more inclided to have a bunch of Docker layer files sitting around that a Python dependency?
    Not criticizing you personally here, I genuinely don't understand the use case.
    Vincent Foley
    @gnuvince
    There are a couple of reasons: (1) the version of the dependencies in a distro's package manager might not match the ones required by the build system (e.g., Debian Stable can be quite behind); (2) I think it's easier to clean up and remove a Docker container+image than to uninstall of a bunch of unrelated programs and libraries, especially if those have been installed from source.
    Caleb Maclennan
    @alerque
    I guess I'm pretty spoiled by a rolling release distro with almost always current packages and if I want to uninstall the dependencies used to make something else it's just one command away (or answer Y to "remove dependencies used to build X when done (Y/N)" during install).
    By the way if you are going to make a Docker image, wouldn't it me better to split up the long && chain of commands into different RUN statements so that if any of them cause an error you can get a sensible error and have a cached layer to pickup from that point to try again?

    Hello, I suppose development isn't 100% dead on this project? Hack is my favourite font and I saw an issue recently with low-quality rendering of mathematical symbols. If anyone is interested in debugging this then I'll see if I can reproduce the problem on various environments. I'm afraid I can't do much more :(
    Caleb Maclennan
    @alerque
    Ne development isn't 100% dead. If there is an issue you can reproduce opening an issue on Github to track it with whatever details you can come up with about the environment, versions of software used, etc. would be the best way to proceed.
    Caleb Maclennan
    @alerque
    @chrissimpkins Can I pick your brain a bit regarding your plats for f-actions? It looks like we may have similar goals in mind and I don't want to duplicate efforts anywhere collaboration would produce a better result.

    @alerque
    Sorry I actually meant to ping you from The League of Movable Type's tooling channel where I'm working on fontship. Maybe poke me in there if you get this and are up for a chat.

    How can one stop the death of Hack font?
    :((( it's sad to see it almost dead
    @chrissimpkins
    Caleb Maclennan
    @alerque
    Dead? By what metric do you call it almost dead?
    Catalin Marincia
    @cata0309

    I have app this name Mico live anyone know?
    Inside this app there is a game can anyone make a hole inside it?
    Caleb Maclennan
    @alerque
    @nasermajdalawi You are not in the right place. This channel is about the font face named "Hack".
    @cata0309 You probably want to follow here: source-foundry/Hack#427
    But fonts aren't like other software, a long time since the last release does not make them dead!
