Scott
@smolinari
That sort of sucks.
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Which projects does Spider want to take on?
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
what do you mean?
Scott
@smolinari
Integrations.
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
ah didn't see you previous message
Scott
@smolinari
And maybe the CMS demo of an integration, possibly with Symfony.
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
yii2-spider, laravel-spider, Ord
Scott
@smolinari
And Orb would be an addition to the CMS.
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
Orb
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Okay so Spider, Spider-Box, Spider-laravel, spider-symfony, spider-yii...
Scott
@smolinari
I am thinking maybe the CMS should be its own repo along with Orb.
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
These are all seperate repos, just under one organization
And then CMS-Kernel, which is a developer-library. and Orb which is a full-scale (although simple) application for discussions.
Scott
@smolinari
Um, yeah. That is what I meant. The CMS should fall into its own org.
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
maybe some form of graph viz framework
later on
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Using javascript?
Scott
@smolinari
Hey, I found something the other day.
Just a sec.
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
not necessarily.
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
I’d like to have the CMS framework under spider. It’ll be closely coupled with the orm/ogm.
And I’d say we can keep Orb under Spider for now. We can always split these things out in the future, if we want.
That is fine with me too.
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Great. I’m gonna create those repos, just so they are on our radar. I’ll give each a /docs/ directory so we can keep notes and issues and everything in their proper place
General organization business can be discussed under spider/spider with a general business label
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
LOL I don't know if it's fate or something but I randomly clicked a star in composer and I'm in the yii2 galaxie
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Ha!
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
what are the odds
Scott
@smolinari
LOL!
You can also search for stuff and "warp" to it.
What is cool is flying around. Go outside and then fly in. It is a pretty cool little gimmick. Theoretically, it could be expanded to also show properties within the nodes.
Maybe even manipulate them too.
Then it would be well beyond a gimmick.
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
it is pretty awesome
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
yeah. this is fun
Dylan Millikin
@PommeVerte
I need to head out for 10mn brb. Then I should sort that stuff so I can concentrate on spider again
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Great
Scott
@smolinari
That graph viz system is also using a JS library, which I am also very interested in. Vue.js.
Scratch that.
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
@smolinari I just created spider/orb, spider/cms-kernel, and spider/academy (and some others).
Scott
@smolinari
It uses React. Yuck.
academy?
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Just a place for lists of graph tools, articles, lessons, and such.
A random idea
Scott
@smolinari
Ah. Ok.
Michael Wilson
@electricjones
Each of the new repos has a /docs/ directory. Let’s use the overview.md as a table of contents, but keep any other notes on architecture and such in different md files for each repo
If you want to start documenting your ideas (especially for orb), that would be the place to do it :)
Same goes for spider-box, which I see as a playground for graph databases
Scott
@smolinari
Roger.
