Cause the proxy will produce wiremock stubs
And sc contract can consume those

I will review both example projects. Many thanks for the support @marcingrzejszczak

@k0chan
hello, anybody know why does project use jenkins docker image in version 2.19 and not newer?
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
Yeah cause in that version the security checks were not applied and the user could have started the project much easier
We will have to upgrade it one day though and remove the security checks for a demo

@k0chan
Hello, I have one question. What is the purpose of the buildSrc directory? I do not found anything about it in documentation.
we have the logic of the CLI there
Kamil Ko
@k0chan
@marcingrzejszczak Thanks!
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
here we use the InputReader and ProjectCustomizer from that folder
Kamil Ko
@k0chan
Hello everyone, why does the project use artifactory but not nexus repository?
Marcos Barbero
@marcosbarbero
This whole project is meant to be customized, you can use whatever you want to
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
It's just an example. It doesn't really matter
Kamil Ko
@k0chan
Ok thanks :)

Hello all, I have a question. What steps I should do to update init.groovy file? Currently I remove conatainers, remove jenkins_home and jenkins_root diretories from host and then run ./start.sh script. I am curious if there is another better way
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
meaning? You can just update that file and wjen Jenkins is started the file gets processed
AFAIR it gets processed only once and then some xml / property is marked that it shouldn’t be scanned
Kamil Ko
@k0chan
So I can modified file in jenkins_home directory which is mounted to container?
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
yeah, but then you have to toggle the flag off (I don’t remember its name) and restart jenkins so that it processes it again
Kamil Ko
@k0chan
Ok I get it, thanks :)
Kamil Ko
@k0chan
Ok, I have another stupid question. I freshly cloned sc pipeline and project doesn't recognize groovy syntax and imports in files build.gradle and jobs/*.groovy. Any suggestions?
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
yeah, when I import stuff to IDE I “UNCHECK” the “separate each module” option

hi all, when using Concourse and PCF, I’ve noticed that test apps have memory limit set to 256M and I can’t figure out where this limit is set in code… I can see app-memory-limit in credentials-cf.yml but I can’t see this var being used anywhere
Jan K
@vanjan
ok, I can see it referenced in pipeline.yml under buildSrc; BUT pipeline.yml under concourse is different and doesn’t reference that
Also, I don’t see APP_MEMORY_LIMIT being referenced in any of the shell scripts
no, sorry, it is referenced in pipeline-cf.sh under buildSrc but not under concourse
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
BuildSrc is just for tests
I think we've removed that env var
If you don't see it being referenced anywhere else than the docs and buildSrc please file an issue or even better a PR

I’m trying to run the demo setup with minikube, jenkins and artifactory on my machine. When I try to run start.sh in the jenkins folder, where are the Dockerfile and Dockerfile-artifactory supposed to be? Are these generated?
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
maybe you haven’t pulled some changes or sth
Premanand Chandrasekaran
@premanandc
Oops… I got the wrong zip file

Hi Marcin, thank you for all responses regarding SCC. You also pointed me to SCP documentation in order to configure PCF with a stub server. I'm starting to try to learn more about this project, as always lots of documentation and examples available but I feel that I would need to be a more experienced developer to use it painlessly, but this is just me, I guess I need to make my way and one day I'll have more experience...
My question is a bit out of curiosity: Would it be possible to use SCP to test drive my deployment pipeline or this is something unrealistic? Thanks
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
yo

but I feel that I would need to be a more experienced developer to use it painlessly

just check this section of the docs: https://cloud.spring.io/spring-cloud-pipelines/single/spring-cloud-pipelines.html#_step_by_step_cloud_foundry_migration

it's really simple to use the project because it bases on conventions

Would it be possible to use SCP to test drive my deployment pipeline or this is something unrealistic? Thanks

Absolutely. You can take the whole thing, copy pieces of it, take only the concepts. Whatever suits you most

Jorge Viana
@jorgeviana
I read those introductions, but the migration is a bit more complicated for me, I guess I tend to learn slowly... But thanks, despite being slow I like to capture little bits of knowledge, like I do when I read about Spring projects
Marcin Grzejszczak
@marcingrzejszczak
so don't be shy about asking questions
maybe we can make the instructions better

Hi all
Kris Krishna
@kriskrishna
The tests for github-analytics-kubernetes-pipeline-build is timing out on jenkins pipeline?
Although, it builds successfully with ./gradlew clean build
Any clue ^^^^
