@dsyer Still messing around with the redirect issue. Locally I think I have isolated it to Zuul

so I have it now that beta.craftcruises.com/ui/yarn -> fails & beta.craftcruises.com/ui/yarn/ -> works
I removed spring security

That's what I said yesterday. Sorry if it wasn't clear.

I am not understanding why it would send to the private url for no slash

My problem with it not working without the slash is that I have no way to control what a user types in the address bar. I can control things via links but that is a pretty ugly response for someone entering the wrong direct link without a slash.

Hi

Spring cloud config is hanging after "Mapping filter: 'applicationContextIdFilter' to: [/*]". Any idea why?

Nope. Get a thread dump?
@ccit-spence it's the container sending the 302 I think. It doesn't send one if you use the slash.
You might be able to add your own redirect in either the proxy or the backend so that you avoid hitting that URL at all.

@dsyer it could be difficult because it's deployed to Cloud Foundry

It doesn't do this locally?

Is the process up?
Are you using retry for the config server?

@dsyer yes. It's just hangs for a long time and then got killed by timeout
@dsyer no

Must be something foobar in your CF environment
Try whacking up the log level to DEBUG

looks like a problem with wrong algorithm. But I use default settings on CF. So it's a problem with CF. Sorry for disturbing

BTW any easy fixes?

I'm surprised the build pack doesn't set the JVM args up to avoid that
Raise an issue with them?

If it's a Spring Boot app I hope you're not using the provided Tomcat
But the JAVA_OPTS probably still work

Jul 21 2015 14:53
it's one-liner Spring Cloud Config Server packed with spring jar config.jar config.groovy
maybe somehow CF forces provided Tomcat

Not for a Spring Boot app
But you can probably still set the JAVA_OPTS as indicated in that comment
cf set-env myapp JAVA_OPTS ...
