Just tried Spring Boot 1.3.0.RC1 with Brixton M1. I am using Maven properties within my bootstrap.properties. spring.application.name = ${project.artifactId} and info.version = ${project.version}
Returns this error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Could not resolve placeholder 'project.artifactId' in string value "${project.artifactId}”
@dsyer Forgot to mention you with the above problem. Spring Boot 1.3.0.M5 and Brixton M1 it works fine

@dsyer nvm using info.version = {@project.version@} and spring.application.name = {@project.artifactId@} works now

stupid question -- does prana/sidecar actually proxy requests for the service it represents, or is it simply advertising the endpoint for discovery?

It does not proxy incoming requests

thanks spencer. is there a best practice for deploying a eureka client in a docker container and have eureka report the host IP vs the docker IP? i've found quite a few threads where people are asking the question, but i can't ever seem to find "the" answer. the best solution i've found so far seems to be passing in an environment variable to docker with the host VM's ip, then configuring the service inside docker to set the eurkea.instance.ipAddress with that value. i'm leaning that way, but just wanted to propose the question before i started building things out on that

@turick If you are using plain Docker, you could use the setting —net=“host” when launching the container
