i am using spring-cloud-config-monitor for getting me notified from bitbucket/github as soon my cfg repo has changes via the /monitor endpoint.. It looks like i need redis or rabbit also non cp else i get "Error creating bean with name 'binderFactory' defined in class path resource [org/springframework/cloud/stream/config/BinderFactoryConfiguration.class]:" error. But why i need a bus only for that simple use case?
it that necesarry because of multinode operations .. os one node will inform the others?
how can i run/test that localy in single node without the need to install any bus?

You need a bus. Otherwise how can you notify other apps of the change?
You could write a Stream binder that didn't use a broker, but it would be of limited use.

The binder-test is obsoleted by binder-test-support (if that's what it's called)
