Hi, is there a reason not to include dashes in your spring.application.name? I remember reading/hearinng this but I can not find a source where such a restriction is explained.

I think dashes are OK
Underscores are illegal in URL hostnames
so you get issues with Ribbon IIRC

And I assume that the Spring Cloud Config Server can deal with dashes as well when assembling the file name from the PathParams!?

dashes are fine
It's just an MVC path variable

A few messages earlier I had a problem with multipart form sent through zuul. That was solved by using Zuul servlet (/zuul) instead of the default spring servlet. Unfortunatelly this broke other requests with json payload, so when I sent POST/PUT request now with Content-Type: application/json, the payload doesn't reach the server resulting in 400 Bad Request. Is it a common problem?

The /zuul servlet path was added for sending file data
JSON is better through the regular route
But please open an issue in github anyway
If you can fix it that would be great

@bandrzejczak which version of spring cloud are you using? What the size of the files you're sending?

We're sending up to 40-50MB of data. We're using Brixton.M5 dependencies version

@dsyer now that #376 has been merged, WDYT about providing an endpoint to list resources matching a pattern? (also the corresponding addition to the ResourceRepository interface)

I probably won't have time. Sounds like it might be a good idea though. I doubt it will be in 1.1.0

I am working on a local version I can use in conjunction with 1.1.0. A version suitable for inclusion in spring-cloud-config will almost certainly require more discussion, however. I'll push something up eventually, but won't hurry (i.e. I'll assume post-1.1.0). Thanks

Hi everyone. From http://cloud.spring.io/spring-cloud-static/spring-cloud.html#spring-cloud-feign there is the following warning: "There is a limitation with the implementation of fallbacks in Feign and how Hystrix fallbacks work. Fallbacks are currently not supported for methods that return com.netflix.hystrix.HystrixCommand and rx.Observable". Does anyone knows which limitations exists for clients returning HystrixCommand? I've been playing it and by making the fallback return FallbackCommand it seems to work, but I wonder what are those limitations and I haven't experiment yet. Thanks in advance.
by the way I'm using spring cloud netflix 1.1.0 RC2

@pfidalgomachado may be out of date docs. I remember when feign added that support.
