In the spring-cloud-aws-messaging 1.2.0.RELEASE there’s QueueMessageHandler. On line 212 it checks for jackson on classpath then proceeds to new up a MappingJackson2MessageConverter. The unfortunate thing is that it does not allow you to pass in a pre-instantiated ObjectMapper that might have had a superset of modules (and hence serializers/deserializers) available. Instead the default constructor just creates a new ObjectMapper. Seems like there’s room for improvement here. I can see no way currently to inject one of my own. Same story for QueueMessagingTemplate, from line 107. Sniff. I could launch a PR. Anyone see a reason why not to allow for this?
