I am using the ribbon standalone(strictly for load balancing) for http requests. I am planning to move it to https requests. I made ribbon.IsSecure: true. I am running with the error: Caused by: org.apache.http.ProtocolException: The server failed to respond with a valid HTTP response. Please help me in moving to https from http..

You just have to change "http" to "https"...

I am using @FeignClient together with a @SpringBootTest. I am testing the @Autwired feign client against a mocked server in my JUnit test. So far so good. The issue is if I run my test it starts the whole spring boot app and this takes arround 30 secs and fast box. So my question is: as I only need the @FeignClient for testing I would like to run a minimal SpringBootApplication in favour to run the test faster. What do I need to do for that in my test to exclude my main SpringBootApplication from my test?

Why I am seeing this error ? Invalid packaging for parent POM, must be "pom" but is "jar"

Because spring-cloud-netflix-core is a jar.
You are trying to use it as if it were a plain pom.

I am seeing another error which doesn't make any sense as I am not using postgresql db
Binding to target org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.jdbc.DataSourceProperties@5a85b4e6 failed:
Property: spring.datasource.type
Value: org.postgresql.ds.PGPoolingDataSource
Reason: Failed to convert property value of type 'java.lang.String' to required type 'java.lang.Class' for property 'type'; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot find class [org.postgresql.ds.PGPoolingDataSource]

I'm doing a deployment via drone deploy and I'm trying to pass in the DRONE_TAG from a staging build into prod. My production deployment doesn't have DRONE_TAG. Would CI_TAG have it?

@JonathanAaron Try to disable it by exclude the DataSourceAutoConfiguration in @SpringBootApplication or @Enable AutoConfiguration.
