hi
I want to know if this scenario is supported in spring cloud config
As I understand cloud config server itself should be configured via local application.yml file
is it possible to tell config server to fetch git repo first and get configuration from there?
I mean store configuration for config server in the same git repo which config server serves for other services

it there feature request for this?
I think it is possible to read bootstrap.yml then fetch the repo and apply the rest of configuration

it is already there
An optional property that can be useful in this case is spring.cloud.config.server.bootstrap which is a flag to indicate that the server should configure itself from its own remote repository.
thanks everybody

since we tend to modify the snapshot docs it's better to point to the release train ones - http://cloud.spring.io/spring-cloud-static/Dalston.SR3/#_embedding_the_config_server
