but I don’t see the bean changing after I change the message…is it because I ‘m not using a config server?
Ryan Baxter
@ryanjbaxter
May 17 2018 00:27
yes the config would need to be externalized from the application

thanks...what options do I have if I want just to refresh local Beans when properties in the local config file change?
Mario Romano
@magemello

If I change the properties in the target folder, accttualy the actuator detects the change of properties
curl -X POST http://localhost:8080/actuator/refresh
["message”]
but when I call the /message the message doesn’t change...

perhaps this question doesn’t make, since Finchley.RC2 is still a work in progress. But when I point my project to it, it is unable to resolve the following dependencies:
spring-cloud-starter-zookeeper-discovery
spring-cloud-starter-config
is this supposed to happen?
Ryan Baxter
@ryanjbaxter
May 17 2018 11:26
@nhmarujo we have not release Finchley.RC2 yet
nhmarujo
@nhmarujo
May 17 2018 11:26
yes, I know
but I was pointing to the milestone-repository
Was trying to bump my project to spring boot 2.0.2, but there is a problem with spring cloud (spring-cloud/spring-cloud-commons#354)
so I was checking if in Finchley.RC2 the issue is fixed
Ryan Baxter
@ryanjbaxter
May 17 2018 11:47
yes when Finchley.RC2 is released it will be compatible with boot 2.0.2, if you want to use boot 2.0.2 you will have to use Finchley.BUILD-SNAPSHOT until we release RC2

tried with Finchley.BUILD-SNAPSHOT
but it is unable to resolve:
spring-cloud-starter-zookeeper-discovery
spring-cloud-starter-config
might be doing something wrong
Ryan Baxter

yeah sounds like something is not right
those should resolve

@nhmarujo did you add
<repositories>
    <repository>
        <id>spring-milestones</id>
        <name>Spring Milestones</name>
        <url>https://repo.spring.io/libs-milestone</url>
        <snapshots>
            <enabled>false</enabled>
        </snapshots>
    </repository>
    <repository>
        <id>spring-snapshots</id>
        <name>Spring Snapshots</name>
        <url>https://repo.spring.io/libs-snapshot</url>
        <snapshots>
            <enabled>true</enabled>
        </snapshots>
    </repository>
</repositories>
they are resolving just fine

Hey guys. I am working on the Eureka Server with SSL mode. I have enabled the SSL(https) using self signed certificate. But I don't know, how to enable the SSL mode in the Eureka Client(I want fetch the micro service url from service discovery). Anyone knows, please help me

you should just connect to https. problem is that you are using a self-signed certificate which is not trusted by Java, unless you are using a custom trust store.

Thank you @TYsewyn I will try with custom trust store. Could you help me, how to configure the certificate in the eureka client's appseetings.json file?

check out this article which explains how to create keystores and truststores: https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-2-x/topics/cm_sg_create_key_trust.html

The trust store is not related to the eureka client, it’s related to the java process that you are running, whenever the java process uses this custom trust store the eureka client also will.

@TYsewyn I did, but not sure if it exactly matches what you posted. I'll check when I arrive at the office. Thanks

if that doesn’t help check your m2 repo, maven creates a *.lastUpdated file to keep you from fetching the dependencies a 1000 times a second

from [pollingConfigurationSource] : Error getting result from polling source
