@DavidS
This looks nice, do you get many people in here?
David Schmitt
@DavidS
Getting the activity stream from the repo here would be nice too ...
Spencer Owen
@spuder
I just set this up lastnight, I’ll look and see if activity stream is a feature

@spuder ok so leaving module at 2.2.0 and downgrading gitlab_branch back to 7.1.1 seems to have caused issues with clicking on any of the services causing a 500 error... so now i'm going to try to upgrade to 2.3.4 and 7.3.2

@spuder
It looks like gitlab changed how ldap is configured in 7.4, I’m updating the module to support the new stynax.
Gavin Rogers
@gavinrogers
never used this thingy before
but yah i made a very very small change but it makes using the module on centos7 or el7 go from "broke horribly" to "wow, what a beautiful module". so yah spuder++ good job man

This module is currently being reviewed to become ‘puppet approved’. https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/browse/MODULES-1436 If you find it useful, you can upvote it on the puppetforge. (top right corner) https://forge.puppetlabs.com/spuder/gitlab

Current master does not work. It stopped managing the wget package, but has not stopped depending on it
that is, there is still a require => Package['wget'] in there

@spuder
Whoops, didn't test the last merge request well enough. I'll fix that.

Fixed spuder/puppet-gitlab#135

@jedo75
@spuder I find a problem that your package gets reinstalled everytime puppet is run. Is this expected behavour
Spencer Owen
@spuder
@jedo75 This is a problem because gitlab renamed their packages in the most recent release. This caused problems for everyone (not just puppet installs). The module only works on the 7.0 releases at the moment. We are working on fixing this, but we are waiting on two bugs to be fixed. One with gitlab, and one with package cloud. spuder/puppet-gitlab#140
Spencer Owen
@spuder
I regrefully have decided to close this module, as it desperatly needed an overhaul. Another user has already done a great implementation that uses packagecloud https://github.com/vshn/puppet-gitlab
