hello there
I have installed both anaconda installers on my machine (python 2.7 and python 3)
i know one can do without the two install (with virtual env and other stuff) but i just wonder if there is something fundamentally wrong in doing so. like generating crazy bugs or something
can you please let me know?
thanks!!!!

@j9ac9k, we don't distribute Spyder in binary format now, so we don't have this problem
We simply relay in Anaconda for our needs

@ccordoba12 thanks for the reply; I freely admit that my knowledge in this issue is not that great. Was the licensing a problem when you did distribute binaries?

@j9ac9k, not really because there was a GPL exception in PyQt4 that allowed us to distribute macOS DMGs without problems
But that exception was removed in PyQt5
@randomgambit, as long as you don't add Anaconda 2 and 3 to your PATH, you're fine and shouldn't see any problems

thanks carlos, I just use whatever defaults there are during the anaconda install. I remember something "recommended" about the path during the install. i did that for both. it's what you mean?
