@stonebig, yep, I had heard of it. However, I think it'd be stable enough for us to try when Qt 5.12 is released, because PySide2 will be released as a tech preview with Qt 5.11

Next Winpython beta will be compatible with it, to facilitate user testing and debugging.

will have to do a spyder-less WinPython with PySide2, as currently Spyder puts PyQt5 in its requirements.

I see, but we had to do that because newbies were confused by not being able to run Spyder after pip install spyder
