Hi
I'm facing a strange problem with Spyder v2.3.5.2. I've a python engine running in the background and test scripts running along side. When test scripts are run over a remote desktop connection, my python engine slows down leading to more test case failures. If I configure the console to an external terminal window, I see lesser number of failures compared to previous one.

I need help in understanding if this kind of RDP problems are present within Sypder and were resolved in later version. @ccordoba12

Sorry, but that version is many years old, and (given the fourth digit in the version number) may be a modified downstream build, if my guess is correct. As we don't support versions that old, we advise you to upgrade to a modern version of Spyder, the latest being 3.2.8 (or 3.3.0) and try again.
There have been many thousands and thousands of commits since there version, so it is unlikely anyone would be able to be sure if a change would impact your use case or not without testing it.
Best of luck!

Right, I understand. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, that release is over three years old, with over 7,700 commits (2/3rds of the total number of commits to the codebase in Spyder's entire history) occurring since then, with thousands of issues closed. There is a chance someone could give you some insight, but it is impossible to say for certain due to the enormous length of time invovled, and as stated, you are likely to get a much more definitive answer by simply trying the above procedure on a modern version of Spyder and observing the results.
A search for RDP revealed a few hits, but not sure any are relevant to your problem.
Sorry I couldn't be of further help...
Also, Spyder's console system and support has been extensively revised and changed since then, so if I understand your setup correctly it seems quite probable that some of those major changes would have affects on your specific workflow that are difficult to quantify except by functional testing. There are also major improvements and refactoring in the works to how Spyder manages internal and external kernels arriving with 3.3.0 and the future Spyder 4, so that could have an uncertain impact as well.
