What operating system are you on? On Windows at least, there should be a shortcut to Spyder. If not, you can launch Spyder either from the Anaconda Prompt (Windows)/Terminal(macOS)/command line (Linux) by simply typing spyder; or, you can click Launch under Spyder's name/icon in the Home tab that appears when you open Anaconda Navigator.

@CAM-Gerlach I am using Spyder as a model for an application I'm developing, how do you setup the icons that launch the app on the various operating systems?

@j9ac9k I'm not an expert on that, but I'm pretty sure its technically conda that does it, using the using the menuinst package to do so. I'm not sure its actively used on OSes other than Windows, since apparently there are problems with it.

Makes sense, I saw there is some py2app code in the repo, do you know of it's still used?

@j9ac9k I'm the new guy so I can't be 100% certain, but I believe the answer is no. We used to produce standalone DMG installers for macOS, but we haven't done that for a good while for various reasons (matienence burden, legal, lack of need, etc). Therefore, I don't believe that code is currently used or maintained, though it might still work with some fiddling. This repo contains the actual instructions for building Spyder for Mac, but it hasn't been updated in a similar amount of time. You can also see this SO answer for more.
